i don’t know if this has been discussed before but does anyone know why not all t? videos made it onto the DVD? the ones i can think of that aren’t on the DVD are:

stories (both versions)
turn
opal mantra
isolation (2nd version)
loose (photek remix version)
church of noise
little tongues first

(but i think andy and michael made the right choice. now just find fyfe, and force him to join for one last album/tour :D ).

alan: yes there are a lot of things going on in ‘rust’ (and it’s a great great song!!) but what i meant was that i kinda miss that special edginess that trigger mentioned.. i guess it’s too hard to explain :cool: i started to listen to t? when they sounded like that, maybe that’s why i prefer that sound on those songs. but i really like the newer stuff aswell, not as much though.

i don’t think ‘rust’ even comes close to any riff on ‘vulgar display of power’..

sure, it’s kinda “heavy” and the song’s great but oh boy i miss those trademark t? start/stop riffs.

kat bjelland and lori barbero (babes in toyland) likes them a lot! they toured together in the early 90’s.

i accidently bought two copies on amazon.. i forgot i pre-ordered one last month. sometimes it’s good to be senile :D

quite a lot of songs actually.. gone, born too soon, safe, six mile water.. pretty much all of the songs on infernal love (even ‘loose’, for personal reasons). and the ‘you are my sunshine’ song at the end of troublegum is kind of sad for me too..

i think diane.. they did something special with that.

i just got my digital box plugged in this afternoon and i got mtv2 (uk) running and i think it’s great so far (at least compared to the regular mtv europe, which of course sucks).. hoping to see some therapy? now and then. and tonight it’s porn on canal+ and i couldn’t be more lucky.

their christian references in the lyrics adds a twist i think.. and andy cairns is ‘the satanic teddybear’ i read somewhere :)

a late reply i know, but will the new page still feature t? tattoos when you launch it..? it would be a cool thing i reckon, it will make the page more personal and alive..

i kinda like ‘hey satan you rock’. it has some sort of weird dark feeling to it, and the riff is pretty cool. not their best of course but to me it sounds better than most songs on ‘shameless’ anyway.. you can’t judge the new album just by this low quality stream.. and remember, to appreciate ‘infernal love’ you really had to listen to the whole album.

besides, spitfire/eagle don’t only have metal bands. they alos have punk, doom, electronica, grind and thrash-bands, just looking through the list of artists on their website. ohGr is on spitfire (i can really recommend that record!). gary numan is on eagle (the uk division of spitfire/eagle). and DANZIG is on spitfire. i think spitfire is a pretty good label. it could be worse you know. therapy? will never get a major label deal again, let’s face it. and that’s good!

the intro in garbage’s stupid girl is identical to the the one in the clash’s train in vain.

parts of manic street preachers’ from despair to where sounds very similar to the clash’s lover’s rock.

beats international’s (fatboy slim) dub be good to me sounds like the clash’s the guns of brixton..

haven’t seen a t? video for years.. but i remember i liked turn and opal mantra.

someone else besides me that miss a ‘120 minutes’ type show on mtv?? i remember i watched it every sunday night, and that’s where i saw teethgrinder which got me into therapy? there’s no real program for alternative music on mtv anymore.. alternative nation is a joke! i hate mtv.

fyfe might not have been the most technical or most skilled drummer, but his style was aggressive, very tight, fast, original, basic but precise and very hard hitting. but most of all he got ATTITUDE, which in the end i prefer over technical brilliance.. that goes with the other instuments also; i’d rather listen to misfits than dream theater!

i’m still (!) amused by the pornolize.com web site, it will always make me laugh, especially when i run this board through it..

i find it very uneven. besides from a couple of tracks, this album does nothing for me. the album is too slow.. where are the aggressive, angry, fast, mad, experimental, punkish tracks with some attitude? it’s not therapy? the way i like them. i guess they have moved on.. gone soft rock’n’roll. but not all is bad, far from it. the good songs that are on it are amazing, some of the best songs they’ve ever written in my opinion (dance, joey and stalk & slash). especially dance and joey are great..

i’ve also tried to find some new info about alice in chains. it seems like they’re not going to record any new material in the near future unfortunately.. but you never know, let’s hope layne staley will come out of his cave someday.

i saw it once on mtv partyzone years ago.. it’s almost the same as the original video + some slow motion etc

and husker du and suicide.. wow now i must go and dig up my old punk records.

for me it’s MISFITS.
