Re: BBC-interview in General Therapy? Topics

Total Recorder records everything that comes thru the sound board, including Real Audio. It saves the sound file as a big wav, but you can chop it up into smaller files later. http://www.highcriteria.com

Re: next to you? in General Therapy? Topics

Graham really needs a click track machine, just listen to the first 3 seconds of that song and you’ll know what I mean.. he can’t keep up the pace, it’s embarrasing.

Re: help in General Therapy? Topics

could have said it better myself.. fyfe was not ‘just a drummer’. those who says so don’t understand music. that applies to any drummer in any band. every drummer has his/hers own unique style and that’s what makes some bands sound so special.

Re: 3 or 4 Members in Therapy? ? in General Therapy? Topics

I agree.. Martin’s cello work on Infernal Love was very cool.

Re: 3 or 4 Members in Therapy? ? in General Therapy? Topics

I don’t think their guitar sound has changed for the better since Martin joined. Overall I think they were a better, a lot tighter band (both live and on records) when they were just three and Fyfe was in the band..

News about the new album and it’s good news indeed in General Therapy? Topics

Title: News about the new album and it’s good news indeed

Had a look at Jack Endino’s home-page and read what he had to say about T?’s new material:

07 Jan 2001: […] Therapy? are arriving tomorrow to record a new record with me at Bob Lang’s studio. Their demos are killer.

17 Jan 2001: Listen, Therapy? are kicking my ass. No one here in the states knows how good they are except all the bands I know who’ve played with them over in Europe. Even Mark Lanegan said they kicked his ass, and his ass is not easily kicked.

Yeah!

Re: Infernal Gum / Husker Du in General Therapy? Topics

Hüsker Dü totally rocks.. I personally think you should get Flip Your Wig and New Day Rising, both released in 1985. Two classic punk rock albums.

They have most of their albums (including the Metal Circus EP) on CDNOW..

Re: Good Fuckin Night in General Therapy? Topics

I know what you mean, Alex.. I’ve got 63 CD’s, 6 vinyl singles and 1 vinyl bootleg LP. I don’t want to know how much that has cost me over the years.. it’s sick!!

Graham.. I have only about 20% eyesight left. Can you fix that?

Re: Email in General Therapy? Topics

What’s wrong with using this message board to that purpose (congrats, cheers, messages etc)? I’m sure if they wanted you to get in contact with them personally they would have put their addresses on their web page or something. Or replying to your messages on this board. You’ve got to remember that they have other things to do.. like having a private life, writing, recording and so on.

I just can’t understand those fans who wants to get into an artist’s private life.

Title: What have you been listening to…?

Alrighty.. just being curious. What albums/songs/artists have you been listening most to for the past year (besides T? of course)?

My list:

Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
Orgy - Vapor Transmission
L7 - Smell The Magic, Bricks Are Heavy etc.. I love them!
Danzig - 6:66 Satan’s Child
Bauhaus - Gotham
Faith No More - King For A Day.. Fool For A Lifetime
Das Ich - Egodram

Cheers!

Re: Diane in General Therapy? Topics

Some people can’t stand it but I actually love that song.. both the old and the new version (which is more like Hüsker Dü originally played it).

Jack Endino on new album etc. in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Jack Endino on new album etc.

I had nothing particular to do the other evening (how rare) so I got in contact with Jack Endino (legendary punk rock producer in Seattle who’s going to record their new album, and allround nice guy) and asked him some questions..

On how the new album is going to turn out:

‘still pretty early to say much but they say they want to record a
punkish rock record, and I am definitely the guy to do it. i haven’t
heard any demos or anything yet but based on what i know about them
and what i have heard i bet we can make a killer record.’

If they have met before and if they actually know eachother:

‘have spoken to andy by phone a couple times, making plans. we met
years ago at a party backstage somewhere in london when i was
recording kerbdog but I barely recall it.’

If he had heard anything by them before:

‘cormac from kerbdog played me some of their stuff years ago but i
only a few months ago picked up suicide pact, then infernal love. i’m
told troublegum is the record to get but i haven’t found a copy yet.’

If so, what did he think of it:

‘cool records but the production in both cases slightly misses the
rock bullseye.’

Alright, that’s about it. Nothing of real interest.. I guess it’s too early to discuss the new record.. but hey, I wad bored OK?

Bad Karma a single? in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Bad Karma a single?

Yesterday they aired the video for Bad Karma Follows You Around on ZTV here in Scandinavia.. perhaps that means it’s going to be a single. I haven’t seen it around though.

Has anyone else seen the video BTW? It’s a really good song..

Re: What’s happened to the lunacy booth? in General Therapy? Topics

In true Therapy?-style I’ve decided to do whatever I want to do, and what I want to do right now is not doing a page about them for various reasons. I still love them though…

Cheers.
