the official page as it is now is not very good, and has been so for years it seems like. why doesn’t therapy?’s management care about the website at all? they are doing a huge mistake by not having the new page ready at the release date of shameless. what rene is working on right now, should be done about 6 months ago, by a team of professional web designers. then at the release date, it should be online. don’t get me wrong, rene has done an incredible job by creating this board. we should all be very thankful, and i’m sure the new page will turn out great. but it all feels a bit ‘cheap’. i’m afraid that when the new page is launched it might be a little too late. i don’t have any sales figures but to my knowledge shameless hasn’t been selling too well, and by december (or whenever the page is launched) that album might be totally ‘dead’. dead in it’s sence that it won’t be selling anymore. so why isn’t their management promoting therapy? or the new album like they should? having an official up-to-date webpage is extremely important these days, and an important part of promoting the artist. therapyquestionmark.co.uk doesn’t exactly get you more interested in the band, and there’s not even links to better pages (like this one) there. so people that are new to the band might not know where to go, and then lose interest. and with near zero media exposure, there will not be many new t?-fans around. also, i sure hope that rene is getting properly paid for working his ass of doing the new page. programming a messageboard as this one alone (especially as rene is programming the whole thing by himself) for a band’s official site should cost them a 4 figure amount in us dollars. at least double that if you’re doing the whole page, programming, designing etc. anyway, enough rambling. this post was not in any way meant to critisize you, rene. i only think that the support that therapy? gets from their label, management etc is very bad, they deserve better than them.. anyway, i’m looking forward to seeing the new page!

I don’t think some small gifs would slow this page down. If you’re annoyed by the loading time then you can shut the pictures off in the preferences.

I personally think you should be able to add pictures in your posts. Maybe Rene should restrict the size of the pics to lets say 50k or something. I’m sure he’ll be able to write some script to do that. The topic pages are split up anyway so all pics within the topic won’t load.

It’s not that you’re supposed to be able to make a whole web page inside your posts.. but it could be nice to make links, edit the style of the text maybe, use small pictures etc..

Rene, is HTML allowed in the posts?

The new design is brilliant, great job! It gets better and better.. The only thing I don’t like is the background colour. I kinda liked the old purple one better.
