Re: Pixies Vs Nirvana in Other Bands & Artists
Fiestaboy, without the pixies, Nirvana didn’t get a record deal, but still Nirvana can be better. ;-)
for myself don’t know for sure, at the moment it’s the pixies, but from time to time i’ve got a nirvana period and then I forget about the pixies a little bit. :P

Re: Blackflag vs Fugazi in Other Bands & Artists
I voted for Fugazi, I always liked Ian Mackaye. Black Flag is also great, but seeing Henry Rollins live… he’s such a show off! sorry to tell, but I don’t like the way he acts on stage, but his voice is great!!!

Re: Bands that sing in your native tounge.. in Other Bands & Artists
Belgian Asociallity the first 2 records where amazing, later on I’ve lost interest in the band, though their first cd I still like. Most of the songs are in dutch, actually a flemisch dialect, hmm, I should start to look after their newer records again… :D
And of course Gorki is very nice, they played at Lokerse Feesten same day as Therapy? did… That was the day of my life!!! or at least one of the days ;-)

Re: Ramones Gabba Gabba Hey in Other Bands & Artists
Loco live is indeed a great live cd, it’s funny if you haven’t listened to their studio recordings for a while, the songs are so slow than, but that doesn’t take away they’re amazing!!!

Re: Ramones Gabba Gabba Hey in Other Bands & Artists
I love them!!!
Don’t know who’s my favorite member though, my favourite song I guess is Durango 95, my favourite album, I’ll go for a compilation then… ramones mania!! But what I liked most of them was their haircuts!!!

Re: Nirvana in Other Bands & Artists
My brother got me into nevermind when I was about 14, after Kurt Cobain died, he gave me his record, he never listened to them eversince. A few years later my cousin and I used to have a kind of Nirvana - Therapy? war. My cousin was a huge Nirvana fan and I was (and still am) a huge Therapy? fan. We used to piss on each other ‘s favorite band… but I have to admid I’ve always respected Nirvana. I don’t think they were overrated back then, but they are now. But after all I still like their music.

Re: what pixies-song are you? in Other Bands & Artists
i’m Debaser… I love that song :)
You’re one cool cookie. You love movies, especially obscure ones, and you talk about them all the time. Even if people don’t understand what you are talking about, they stick around anyway because you’re just so much fun to be around. You don’t always stand out in a crowd, but you can often be identified by your cluster of groupies and fans. You’re usually the one throwing all the good parties, too.

Re: circle in Other Bands & Artists
they’re very good live, at first i thought the cd was a bit strange, very different from the earlier work, but after listening a few times i can say it rocks. but still “…the day elvis shook his ass” is the best one in my opinion.
