Due to traffic jam I missed the Paceshifters … again (when they supported Therapy? in Holland last year, I also got stuck in traffic jam and only saw the last few songs, … enough to convince me to buy their album though!)

Best race game on Wii is Mario Kart indeed, and it’s a great multiplayer game! (though the Gamecube version is better, wich is also playable on wii but you need gamecube controllers to play it). Sonic & Sega All-Star Racing is a pretty good Mario Kart rip off, but it’s not as good as the real thing.

I don’t know any multiplayer puzzle games on wii, most mulitiplayer games on Wii are crappy partygames.
Zack and Wiki is a great puzzler, but it’s single player, also if your puzzles may be hidden in an adventure game then you definately have to check out The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and at the end of the year The Legend Of Zelda: Skyword Sword (they’re single player as well)

Another great multiplayer game on Wii, but no puzzle nor racing game is New Super Mario Bros Wii.
If the boy you’re talking about is not a kid, then House Of The Dead: Overkill is a great multiplayer game, it’s an on-rails shooter but it’s very funny, but not for kids (unless they’re into blood and gore ;))

We downloaded ours, without any trouble. Renewed our password, went to the store added the “Welcome Back program” to our shopping cart and then we could download the free games.

For PS3 it’s LittleBigPlanet, InFamous, WipEout HD/Fury, Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty and Dead Nation
For PSP it’s LittleBigPlanet PSP, ModNation Racers Mini PSP, Pursuit Force, Killzone Liberation

Luckily from all those titles there’s exacly 4 missing from our collection 2 for PS3 and 2 for PSP :p

Therefor we had to use a credit card over PSN, but it’s been quite a while ago, and our card is expired already, so not really a problem for us either :)

Sin & Punishment is definately one of the best games around for Wii!!

I cannot agree with you, there is a lot of shovelware on the DS indeed, but there’s shitloads of great games on there as well. It only costs a little bit of research to find out what the real gems are. There was a lot of shovelware on the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance as well, same counts for the PSP. We’ve got 107 DS games and I’d dare to say +90 of those are quality titles. Good games don’t have to be expensive at all, I’m not the patient type so I’m aware I pay way too much for most of my games, but if you are patient you can buy very decent games between €5 and €15. It probably depends a bit on where you live, nearby big cities with lot’s of games- and toystores you might be luckier.

It is indeed quite certain there will be a hardware update for the 3DS, it’s nothing new Nintendo is doing this since the early ninties, every Nintendo handheld had several updates:
Game Boy - Game Boy Pocket - Game Boy Light - Game Boy Color
Game Boy Advance - Game Boy Advance SP - Game Boy Micro
DS Phat - DS Lite - DSi(XL)
I can’t see anything wrong with that (maybe because I collect them all), mostly the update is worth it, it’s a great way to get rid of small bugs and minor annoyances. Mostly it takes about a year, year and a half before the first update sees the light of day. There’s plenty of people waiting for such an update to be sure to have a more decent machine than the first 3DS and a decent library of games to choose from.
