Re: death to my namesake!! in Chit-Chat

I thought of a personal visit, but the problem is actually that she’s a doctor, her homeadress isn’t there, and I don’t know where that is. The only way you can get there is by making an appointment. Otherwise I’ll sit there in her waiting-room a whole day.
can someone knock me on my nose so I’ll need a “nose-throath- and eardoctor”? :-)

death to my namesake!! in Chit-Chat

Title: death to my namesake!!

Quite a while ago I finally won a face the strange 12” on ebay which I was looking for for a while. It didn’t arrive. I mailed the seller, he told me he had sended the record and for some reason I believed this guy, so I started to think about what could have gone wrong.
All of a sudden I thougt of someone in my street with the exact same name as mine, so I called her and yes… she got the record indeed, but she was so choked (!?) when she got it that see’d put it somewhere, she doesn’t know where!? I asked her politely to look for it, cause I’d love to get that record finally. She would, and she would call me back soon. Weeks later, no phonecall… I got upset and called her again… still friendly: her secretary answered the phone(she’s a doctor)I explained the whole thing and she said she would report it and ask her to call me back. Again a few weeks later, no sign yet, so I deceided to call her back once again…a bit less friendly this time. ‘oh, you must be calling for that record? I haven’t found it yet.’ But she’s quite sure she didn’t throw it away. (do I have to be satisfied with this kind of answer!?)
She was also convinced that this was the first time ever she got my mail… well my sister won some coffeecups from a belgian cartoonist (or however you cal them) on my name… they never arrived. I asked her if she never got them accidentually? Oh yes she got them, she never seem to have asked her any questions, she also didn’t seem to pay attention to the adress written on these packages. If I get something in my mailbox which I don’t have a clue about how it could get here, I’d at least check the adress…
She promised me to return them to me. Ok, this is kinda stupid, asking these cups back, but I really start to hate this women, they’re not hers, my sister won them and wanted to surprise me with it… THEY BELONG TO ME!!! Today we’re 2 and a half week further… nothing in my mailbox yet, she didn’t call me and probably she never came to my house with them!
I don’t know anymore what to do I WANT MY RECORD BACK!!! If this would have been a Meat Abstract 7” she would’nt been on this planet anymore!!!!!
What do I have to do next!? :(

It’s very cool…I’m just not sure of the feasability of customised t-shirts if this is gonna be an ‘official’ thing.

You could ask T? perhaps. It’s possible for footballshirts for a reasonable price, why would it be so hard for a regular shirt? The only problem I see is that if there come new members after a while and asking for a shirt, but herefore I have a solution :) you can start to print shirts if you have enough requests or you can put a term on it if you don’t want to keep printing shirts. Or am I seeing this all to simple  I really like the idea of an official-personalised WOM-shirt…
My sister’s collegue used to have a t-shirt-print-shop (you know what I mean), I’ll ask him for the possibility of this… but still official is more fun than unofficial, and doing something like that unofficial i’d feel like a Therapy?-ripper and I don’t want to :(

Re: At gigs… in Chit-Chat

Like this?
I’ve designed the back of the T-shirt, for the front i wanted to use a red gemil, and was to lazy to search for it on the net… sorry for that, maybe the front of the shirt follows later. I kept it sober… I like soberness… :-)

It’s up to the person, I think. I prefer to use first name.

The more difficult task (well, at least to me) is to pick a WoMbler at the gigs… :D
We should have somekind of badge or else. Maybe Andy can draw a “sign” for us which could base on Gemil?

a WOM T-shirt wich is available on the official website only for those who register on the WOM and on the shirt there should be your username, should these things be possible or only very expensive??? It would be very nice though!!!
Some notes:
- the payment should also be possible if you don’t own a creditcard
- size xs should be available as well
- it has to be a pretty shirt maybe we could do a competition on this, designing a shirt and let all the WOMbles vote wich shirt they like most
wouldn’t this be nice???
And the winner… sees his own designed shirt at (hopefully)every therapy? gig he visits!!!! :D

Re: My dad died in Chit-Chat

I’m truly sorry
I lost my dad on my 19th birthday, he was 50 and had lungcancer, we all knew it was coming. So we all had the time to say goodbye, although he didn’t recognise us on his last days… wich was very painfull. But we were all there when he died. You might not have had that chance, but you know, in your haert you can keep him alive! I hope you’ve got some people you can share your good memories of you dad with.

Re: Best covers EVER in Chit-Chat

NOFX has done some great covers!
their best are:
Electricity originally by OMD
All of me originally by Billie Holliday
Johnny B. Goode originally by Chuck Berry

Eyelid has done a great cover of Forward To Death by the Dead Kennedys.
Roundhouse I guess covered Wild In The Streets by the Circle Jerks, which also is an amazing cover!
