Title: Teethgrinder

Is it just me or in Teethgrinder before they sing ‘Teethgrinder’ in the chorus the sample says something which i cant make out? Its listed as ‘Im a’ - Teethgrinder but it doesnt sound like that, this has annoyed me for years. Does anyone else hear this or is it just me? Eh?

Call me a dumbass if you will, but is this a Therapy? song? only george best song i know is the one that goes -‘Georgey, georgey they call you the belfast boy’ etc. Great tune.

Title: Times

To me Therapy? losing their ‘big audience’ was a sign of the times. I remember over here (n ireland) in 1991-1994 every twat in school was into metal and grunge and etc then the next year or so it was all taboo and you where looked upon as a fucking werewolf if you showed any sign of dressing like a ‘rocker’ (or whatever). I remember T? must have been big enough here that you could buy their T shirts in ‘virgin megastore’ but a few years after it was all forgotten and everyone one liked Scooter! Haha.

Talkin about scary people, whats the crack with that picture inside the “pleasure death’ cover of that freaky looking guy holding a kid up in the air? Would give you nightmares.

I Love this album cause it has the coolest name, my favourite T? song (prison breaker) and the best T? anthem (potato junkie) but probably because its the first T? album i heard! And that cover art! How cool is that?

Heard a really beautiful song called ‘Willie McBride’ tonight about world war 1 , and it made me think - was the guys thinking of this song when they wrote Private nobody.

Heard pleasure death in the garden of my house when i was playing football with my brothers friends, must have been about 13 years old.It sounded really different at the time cause all i had been listening to was iron maiden and whatnot. Went to see the band at ulster hall a few months after on the Nurse tour where i remember getting a cool t shirt with ‘have a nice day in hell’ on it.

I think the most powerful song in a heavy agressive way is Animal bones, it kicks serious ass.

Just thinkin about a Moment of clarity and it is a beautiful song…very romantic haha. But when i hear six mile water, hearing where Andy is singing about makes it even more cool in a strange way, so for me its a great ballad.

This is definately the best bass riff ive heard! Think my favourite guitar riff would be Perversionality from nurse, but there are so many.

I think the best would be the bass riff from Innocent X, cool song name too. and the intro to Opal mantra is a killer.

I really don’t see how some of the lyrics which could be deemed as depressive in nature in some Therapy? songs are any different to any other good songwriting. Obviously in the case of Therapy? their black humour makes the songs more laughable than depressing which seperates them from the whining ‘i hate my parents’ crap which goes hand in hand with some punk/metal. To me the only Therapy? songs that sound like Andy or whoever isnt too happy is Unbeliever but surely every normal person has felt like that sometimes? same goes for Misery. I’m sure there are more but i can’t think of them and anyway its only a bit of fun.

This is an area in the town Ballyclare where Andy is from. A guy who my mother is married to lives in a place called six mile meadow in the town, and there is a stream/river thing that runs behind his house so this is probably the six mile water mentioned in the song.

Aye there is indeed a Nurse poster in the movie, seems a strange choice of wallpaper for some cheesy metal heads i thought

I remember looking at a website and it had a “who lives here” of famous people living in northern irish towns and it had Fyfes name as a resident of Portrush Co. Antrim, i suppose the site could have been years old but maybe he still lives there? The town is famous for Kellys niteclub which is apparently northern irelands answer to “Ministry of sound” but from what i hear its a complete den! maybe fyfe is plying his DJ’ing skills here.
But there is probably more chance of saddam huissein calling at my door with a bunch of flowers.

I remember being blown away when i first listened to a pleasure death cassette my brother had , it was unlike anything i had heard before. I think this was because of the distorted vocals on some of the songs and the cool samples. I was only a young buck at the time but i have thought T? where the coolest band since and that was 12 years ago. Coolest T shirts i have ever seen by any band too.

I have a compilation album i bought years ago called “suddenly loaded”, it mostly consists of indie bands but strangely it has Totally random man on it.
Has anyone else seen any Therapy? tracks on compilations?

This is a shame,
But i find it hard to believe Martin was “fired” - you could just picture Andy in a big fancy office suite, sitting in a big leather chair, smoking a cigar and telling Martin to clear out his desk - then Michael comes in dressed as a bouncer and manhandles him out of the room!
I dunno i think i am trying to make light of bad news.
