Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

Let me know if you’re coming down - it depends on work with me though - I work in sport so Im on most weekends. Great result for Connaught - did you see the look on the Leinster players faces after the game - classic - pure mastercard moment

Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

Just sit back, relax and watch Munster in full flight tonight. They’ve been awesome so far this season. Some great young players breaking through. Should be a good competition this year. Some seriously strong teams in each group

Re: Bad Joke Thread in Chit-Chat

What’s the difference between a referee and a battery?

The battery has a positive side.

Why should you bury referee’s 500 feet underground?

Because deep down they’re nice people

Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

Johnny Sexton has plenty off promise but is a few years away from being an international. He should be ready to fill O’ Gara’s boots in a couple of years. If you don’t play O’ Driscoll then who do you play - we don’t have many class centre’s knocking around at present.
Great win yesterday - played every style of rugby in the 9 games. Onwards and upwards!

Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

Kidney is a good coach and a good coach doesn’t have misplaced loyalty to anyone but themselves. Pick the wrong players and you write your own p45 - simple! He’ll be missed but is the right man for the job. Hopefully Michael Bradley will come down to Munster and build on his earlier successes as a coach

Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

Munster - Toulouse would be a great final. Hopefully we can over come Saracens - tough game again this weekend so fingers crossed we get no more injuries. You keeping up with the Boss thing Colin? Sounds a bit suss to me - moneygrabbing?

Whats the odd one out - a woman, a toaster, a dishwasher, or a washing machine?

The toaster… it’s the only one that doesn’t leak when its fucked

Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

Good weekend of rugby made better by Dallagio throwing his toys out of the pram after the match. Stephen Jones match report in the Times today was so bitter - he really dislikes Munster (indeed anything Irish!)

Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

Get used to seeing Eddie - he going nowhere - especially since he’s doing his best not be considered for the Lions job. Just as well anyway - there’s no-one to take over from him

Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

Can’t defend it - he did the lad. He was in the wrong lace though and if it was one of our lads we would have taken it on the chin…or forehead. Pity if he misses some of the 6 nations over it - he’s starting to get back to his usual form again. Great to see Buckley playing well. He should be knocking on the door of the Irish squad soon.

What a great day for rugby (although it pained me to cheer for england)

Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

I really feel let down. This Irish squad has so much talent and the potential to perform and at least compete against the big nations. I can’t understand why they have failed so badly - no-one associated with the squad can come back with their head held high. Its time to blood a lot of new players and to stop playing half reserve teams in the Celtic league - the players obviously need regular top wuality games not 6 to 10 european matches and about the same number of meaningful league games each season.

Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

Fingers crossed. I agree with stringer being completely dropped - he hasn’t played well recently. Perhaps Murphy could come in at out half and take the pressure off ROG? Hopefully they’ll pull something out of the bag

Re: Rugby in Chit-Chat

Reddan in for Stringer, Flannery in for best, Trimble in for Hickey. Still not enough in my opinion. Should have brought Carney into the 22. Drop Easterby and start Best. Quinlan on the bench. Not quite sure why there are 2 hookers in the replacements?
Im sure Evilbeast and his lot are shaking in their boots after watching the last two games…
I just have to hope that they were the calm before the storm and that the team will play to their full potential.
