Re: Stop mentioning Fyfe’s name, please in General Therapy? Topics
I have to say I agree with mr teethgrinder and mr satanslittlehelper, and I think innocent x is being a little harsh on Graham. I don’t think any, old drummer could think up, let alone play drum patterns like Dance, suing god, big cave in, Joey, etc. You have to admit, whether you like the song or not, the drumming on I am the money is pretty clever.
Don’t get me wrong fyfe was a fantastic drummer, and he should be given some kind of an award for teethgrinder, but you only have to listen to something like six mile water, followed by church of noise to see how diverse he is.
Graham is definatley one of my top drummers.
It’s going to be interesting to see what drummer number three is going to be like.

Re: shameless revisited in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
I don’t think shameless is a bad album by any means. But I think it’s lacking in atmosphere. That’s what I like about spyf, it’s full of atmosphere! I also think that shameless isn’t as original as spyf and I have to admit that suicide pact very rarely leaves my cd player.
Dance, alrite and tango romeo still rock!

Re: Fyfe Ewing in General Therapy? Topics
Brad Wilk (ratm)?
I really like Graham’s drumming, even though it’s not as technical as fyfe’s, i seem to prefer it. does that make me a bad person?

Re: Fyfe or Graham??????? in General Therapy? Topics
I know it’s not really fair to compare them, but I was just asking to see what you guys thought, just out of curiosity.
anyway I think I prefer Graham, but then again i only started listening to therapy? properly when semi-detatched was released, so maybe that had some kind of influence on me. I think the drumming on black eye, purple sky is superb, and i advise anyone who hasn’t listened to drums on ther before now, to check it out straight away.
p.s
sorry if this was a stupid question… I was just asking.

Re: Old versus New in General Therapy? Topics
I have to admit sp-yf has very rarely left my cd player in the last year or so, and is prbably my favourite album. I’m not a big fan of troublegum, but there are are some great songs on there.
I also think pleasure death is great.

Re: Simple is often the best way in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
well, I think I’m one of the few who actually prefers grahams drumming to fyfes, even on the new version of teethgrinder! don’t get me wrong fyfe is a brilliant drummer, but grahams style just suits the music, especially on suicide pact. Given the choice I’d go for graham.

Re: Simple is often the best way in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
I think they just write great songs, you don’t have to be a brilliant musician to do that. the beatles are a good example of this.
I would have said that the drums are the most technical apsect of therapy?’s music. (look at other peoples misery, or big cave in).
but at the end of the day they’re just good, old, catchy songs.

Re: what do you think the WORST 3 T? songs are? in General Therapy? Topics
well my first choice would be D.L.c off pleasure death. does anyone really like that song?
second would probably be diane because it’s so dull, but I like the new version off the lonely cryin’ only single
and I don’t think I can think of a third song, maybe 30 seconds, but there are parts in that song that I do like. that was really tough!

Re: Guitar part at ‘He’s not that kind of girl’ in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
not quite sure where you mean, but if it’s any help, either andy of martin uses a bottle neck in the song. they also have andy’s guitar in one speaker and martins in the other, so it might be a good idea to listen to one speaker at a time, cos they both play slightly different things.
I hope that’s helped a bit.

Re: what about the best T? album? in General Therapy? Topics
I think that therapy? have managed to re-invent themself on almost every album, and they’re all different, but at the moment I’ve been listening to spyf a lot recently. a stunning album!

Wow, supporting therapy? would be great.
I thought the interview was really good, but you’re right about the lack of e.mails.

I hope I’m going. but i haven’t seen any tickets either. It’s probably a good idea to just keep you eyes open in the gig sections of magazines like kerrang! and metal hammer.
if you do find out please post it here. and I’ll do like wise if I find out.

i haven’t heard much of Morrissey’s solo stuff, but I love the smiths, ‘because the songs that they constantly play say nothing to me about my life. HANG THE D.J.’(how true)
What do therapy? think of the smiths, I know they covered vicar in a tutu, but are they actually fans?
What does Morrissey think of therapy??
