Re: The end for Velvet Revolver in Other Bands & Artists

Bach is a badass singer, but I think his ego is ridiculous. I can’t imagine he’d be a good fit with the band. I personally think Weiland was the problem here. Considering that Slash, Duff, and um…the drummer (haha) have been playing together for so long, it would strike me as odd if they were the problem behind this split. Weiland has always been a bit of a drama queen.

Re: The end for Velvet Revolver in Other Bands & Artists

You know what, they should get Keith Caputo from Life Of Agony on vocals. First off, he’s a great guy. Secondly, he’s ten times the vocalist Weiland is, but at the same time he can sometimes find himself sounding a lot like Weiland.

Check out the song “Troubles Down” from his newest solo album. That’s actually a heavy song—relatively speaking—for his solo stuff, but that could be a Velvet Revolver song. He’d be a good fit for the band, but I don’t know if he’d go for something like that.

Re: Therapy? Lost Songs - Update in General Therapy? Topics

I wouldn’t mind “Valentines Day” and “Freeze The Remains.” Would someone mind e-mailing them to me? I know I’m not a prominent poster here, but I’m a big fan. This is actually the first time I’ve even heard of these two songs, which is surprising to me.

My e-mail address is support AT goodpigbadpig.com. Thanks!

Re: 2008 in music in Other Bands & Artists

Too many to name. 2006 and 2007 were both awesome years for music. 2008 is looking to be just as good. Right now, as of 3:26am, on 12/28/07, the number of CDs, vinyl pieces, and cassettes (old demos) purchased in 2007 is sitting at 1,037. And I still have about 10 incoming in the mail. So for 2007 I’m looking at having purchased about 1,050 pieces of music. Haha. Ridiculous!

Re: A question for the “more die hard than me” fans in General Therapy? Topics

I can understand why someone would dislike Suicide Pact. However, if anyone digs the albums prior to that, I can’t see why they wouldn’t like those that came after it.

Re: Come And Die… in General Therapy? Topics

The Judgement Night soundtrack is awesome. One of the best soundtracks ever. “Come And Die” is an awesome song!

I actually saw Fatal live once in the early 90s. The line-up was Cypress Hill, House of Pain, Funkdoobiest, Soul Assassins, and Fatal.

Fatal were really good. Unfortunately, aside from “Come And Die,” the group never released anything more than a two-track single on 12” vinyl and cassette (“Pass The Kronz” and “Timber” were the two tracks).

BAH! I Can’t Play The “RHC” EP Tracks Anymore!! in General Therapy? Topics

Title: BAH! I Can’t Play The “RHC” EP Tracks Anymore!!

This is retarded. Says I need a license now, asks me for a password! How long ago did I pay for these songs? You think I got any e-mail from the site I bought them from!

Is this how digital downloading works? This is the only thing I’ve ever paid for aside from one song from the band Hydrogyn, and that download didn’t even work. I had to prove I paid for it to the band just to get them to mail it to me. And that took a week!

If more bands go down this road, and this is how digital downloading works I’ll become a fan of torrents and P2P software real quick. This is annoying.

Re: B-Sides/Demos From One Cure Fits All? in Your Feedback & Suggestions

Try adding .mp3 to the end of the file name. That should solve the problem.

Thanks for the songs, by the way! You rule!!

B-Sides/Demos From One Cure Fits All? in Your Feedback & Suggestions

Title: No B-Sides/Demos From One Cure Fits All?

The audio section hasn’t been updated in a long while. I miss the rare Therapy? stuff they’ve always released. Is there just nothing from the OFCA sessions to share?

Re: Exclusive Therapy? Webgig in General Therapy? Topics

Any word on when this will be released? I voted for “A Moment of Clarity,” “Suing God” and one other. Glad to see both on the list. I’ve never seen the band live, hardly heard them live, so this is cool.

Re: Exclusive Therapy? Webgig in General Therapy? Topics

Everyone had better be voting for “Suing God!!”

Right, in terms of legalities, all Therapy? songs are copyrighted. So in effect anyone recording or uploading a T? song is obliged to pay royalties to the copyright owner. The songs are protected by 4 different bodies so it will depend on the song as to who must be paid. Uploading a song by T? without paying royalties is illegal. The same applies to using samples from T? originals.

So it’s at your own peril, dudes…

Is this correct? Doesn’t this only apply if they’re using the songs for commercial gain?

Re: How Many OCFAs… in General Therapy? Topics

Sadly, I haven’t bought it yet. I love the band, but don’t really feel like paying $30 for it just yet. I did, however, buy the DEP.

Re: Worst t? album in General Therapy? Topics

Pleasure Death and Babyteeth, both. I think they began to find their stride on Nurse, and while that albums does have a few songs that don’t quite achieve what the I think the band intended I do think the worst song is still a good one, whereas on the previous stuff there are some downright stinkers. After Nurse, beginning with the EPs, they were beginning to kick ass and starting with Troublegum on I think they’ve created brilliant album after brilliant album. They’ve always managed to stay one step ahead of the previous record without repeating themselves and still sound like Therapy?, not an easy thing to do.

I realize because of these changes some fans will not like one album, but like others, but for me I think each album from Troublegum on is fucking excellent!

Also, it’s notable that when fans have these disparate opinions on which album or songs on an album are best, it’s usually a good indicator of a great band/album.

Well, if you didn’t want any backlash why did you announce that you were downloading it in a NEW thread?

Aah, haven’t read all that yet. I ordered it from Spitfire (Eagle), the European site. It’s not on the North American site.

Re: Rain Hits Concrete - Opinions? in General Therapy? Topics

The artwork is far too small. Does anyone have a big, high-res copy? Wasn’t artwork supposed to be included? Hardly a small image as that is not considered appropriate?

By the way, not sure if this is for everyone, but my debit card would not work to purchase this. Not sure if it’s because it was a debit card (a Visa one, though) or because I’m from the US or what. If you get that error, just try a regular credit card.

Re: OCFA reviews please… in General Therapy? Topics

Once again Therapy? kicks my ass, and once again I did not like the album upon first listen! Hahaha. They NEVER write an album I expect them to write, I should learn to not expect anything given their history, but it’s always hard not to.

So yeah, first listen left me a little disappointed. The album is far more laid back than NANE. Second listen something clicked, the songs began reaching out to me, now I’m on like my tenth listen and it’s fucking great! I can’t wait to get the album now!!

EDIT: Has “Plebians” be re-recorded/re-worked this album? One song, I can’t find it now, says something about plebians, or plebious, or something like that. Just curious.

Re: OCFA reviews please… in General Therapy? Topics

Are you sure this album has leaked? I’m no huge downloader, but I haven’t seen it anywhere (which I guess is a good thing).
