Re: Casey Jones Reaction Songs in General Therapy? Topics
Hate to say it but those demos sound fresher and more daring than anything on “One Cure Fits All” and “High Anxiety”. T? should try to incorporate more unusual instruments into their sound and start writing some quiet songs again.

@deadsetgav
I know what you mean, but I actually really like it. For one album, that is. I love how Therapy? are trying to sound different from album to album soundwise, too.

Re: NANE - Best T? album by a mile! in General Therapy? Topics
I’ve relistened to that album recently. Although it’s the best from all the albums that came out from “Shameless” to “OCFA”, it does have its flaws. And “Long Distance” starts so promising and then the chorus is such a letdown.

“2 Bags” from Helsinki has been bootlegged, as have “Again and Again” (from London, Dublin, Belfast), “Kiss me on the Ghost Train” (from Brussels), and “New Song 2” (from various dates).
Valentines Day from the promo is also in trading circles.
So, would it be okay to ask for those songs or would I get crucified for doing so? ;-)

Therapy? are Jesus Freaks!! in General Therapy? Topics
Hehe, just needed a little eye catcher there for the headline.
I just noticed that there are quite a few biblical references in Therapy?-lyrics, especially from the Troublegum/Infernal Love-era.
“you just wanna be Jesus without the sufferin’”
“your ass like Jesus’ feet, worth kissin’”
“you only mean it, ‘cause you look like Jesus”
“you’re storming heaven without God”
“judas judas i thought you were my friend…”
“there’s nothing darker than love that’s gone sour, Satan’s spit”
“God kicks with both feet and keeps his shoes clean”
And of course
“christ, sin it’s all that you know”
“hey satan - you rock!”
These ones just off the top of my head. Any more lyrics with such references?

I guess it’s going to be the new “Smile” or “Lighthouse”. The masterpiece that never was.

What I meant was, could you give a list or write about the music IN THE MAGAZINE?

New album more like Innocent X/Teethgrinder/If it Kills Me, less like Voodoo Doll in General Therapy? Topics
I know I’m in the minority here, but that’s rather bad news to me. I love “If It Kills Me”, but I usually prefer the bands’ poppier songs or let’s say the songs that are catchy but have a mean, noisy and/or heavy twist to them. In other words: something along the lines of “Troublegum” to “Semi-Detached” material. Something as daring as SPYF would be cool, too. Or something that can’t be compared to anything they have done before, but “Innocent X” and “Teethgrinder” are just two of the least interesting songs the band has ever recorded, IMO (and as I’ve said, yes, I know most WOMbles will disagree with that).

Re: The Q+A replies…? in General Therapy? Topics
FUUUUUCCKKKK!!! How could I have missed the opportunity to send them a question? I guess the new message board design completely took away my attention from everything else. ;-)
So will there be another Q&A-thingy sometime?

Re: Which album hit you immediately ? in General Therapy? Topics
Troublegum, Semi-Detached and Infernal Love (to a lesser degree) were instantly addictive.
With SPYF it took me a long time to accept that this was no “Semi-Detached Part 2”, but I love the album now. And I also didn’t realize that NANE was a much better album than I had thought at first.

Re: Should t? stay trio? in General Therapy? Topics
It definitely have its advantages to bring in another guitarist, if only for proper backing vocals and the second guitar some songs NEED. And although Andy handles all his guitar work in the studio well (just listen to “Troublegum” or “NANE”), a second opinion can never harm.
So: four piece it is for me.
