Title: Does anyone else think Matrix is overrated?

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a good movie but i think after you’ve seen it a few times it gets worse pretty quickly (whereas true masterpieces, such as “Back To The Future” get better and bette the more you see them)

Lou Reed never had it live. The album “Perfect Night in London” is incredibly bad! Maybe Reed shouldn’t play guitar live and concentrate on singing or sing-talking like he always does. Reed never was a real singer, which wasn’t a problem, what’s really bothering me, though, is that he always sings out of rhythm live.
As for the notes he brings along, I think we can allow him that since Lou Reed has written so many and so good lyrics that it must be virtually impossible to remember them all. (okay, he should know “Perfect Day” by now!).

Anyway, do you like the direction in which he’s going with his latest albums? “The Raven” is one piece of shit if you ask me. Terrible cover, bad music (of course, you can’t argue about the lyrics) and what is it with the newly recorded version of “Perfect Day”? Why????

Still, I will never hate this man, who gave us “New York”, which is among my eternal Top 5 albums.

Title: Do politics belong in (rock)music?

Me, myself I never apreciated bands preaching politics in their songs. It’s one thing to try and increase people’s interest in politics and another to enforce someone on your personal opinion. Therefore I’m not such a big fan of bands like Rage Against The Machine, Boy Sets Fire. and Harcore bands in general (well, that’s also because I’m not really into hardcore music;) ).
It was just so bizarre when I was at an (International) Noise Conspiracy concerts and a bunch of drunk kids were standing next to me bawling “Capitalism stooooooole my virginity”. As if these dudes weren’t happy and satisfied participants in this capitalistic society.
I prefer Therapy? like lyrics that actually touch me.

Tomb Raider was watchable only for one reason:

Angelina Jolie, more precisely, her body. Man, that woman isa goddess!

Evil Dead 4 would be so, so cool! Why can’t Bruce Campbell do more movies? He’s a friggin genius and people love him. I heard Sam Raimi wanted him to play “Darkman” but producers said no. Fuckers!

As for “Jason X”. I liked it. It was the only movie in the FT13 series that didn’t take itself for granted and therefore quite funny at times. Still, I hope Freddy defeats that Jason bastard!

Oaschlochpfeiferl - stands for pepperoni and translates as “asshole-pipe”

Futkanister - no one really knows what this is supposed to mean. It translates as “pussy canister”.

Title: Is anyone of you interested in the upcoming movie “Freddy vs. Jason”?

This is a stupid question, I know. For most of you Freddy and Jason are just two cheesy relics from the 80ies but that’s just why I love them so much. I’ve been waiting for this movie so long and now it finally comes out. I can’t believe it!
