Re: Another one! in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
I’m sure it is Canadian, because I bought it in Toronto.

Re: Another one! in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
It’s just what it sounds like. It was a promo pressing of Screamager along with Nowhere. I don’t have the catalog number handy, but I’ve owned it for years, so I know it’s real!

I guess you have the Screamager Promo, maybe Stay Happy Promo, or even a Bad Mother?
Yeah, I have all of those. I compiled a mini list a while ago when I was contemplating selling my collection. I don’t think I finished the list, but the promo section was something like this:
Promos:
CD:
Nausea
Perversonality
Die Laughing
Screamager
Screamager w/ Nowhere
Knives
Misery
Stay Happy
Sucide Pact You First
I’ll see if I can find the list and upload it. I really don’t think it’s complete though.
(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this post had a file attachment, which may return in the future)

Just gotta find out how to display the vinyls better!
Haha, I have some that you don’t have! Still looks really cool though. If I had the wallspace, I’d steal your idea in a second.

Re: USA Traders? in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Ah, I don’t really have bootleg live shows. I have a few, but I really just collect the official items. I do have a video tape of a show in Dallas from a few years ago though.

Re: USA Traders? in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
I’m in the US and I pretty much have everything. What are you looking for?

Re: pleh in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
There is only one 12’ for Church of Noise, the white-label 12’ you mentioned. It’s one-sided, and there’s some arguements as to how many copies were printed. Some say 2000, some say 200.

Re: Charity sampler and Live in Japan Fanclub in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
The tape is legitimate. It was given away to Fanclub members in 94 or 95, and followed by the 1996 Fan Club CD (which even spells Fyfe’s name wrong). I don’t know how much you paid for it, so I can’t say if you got ripped off.
The vinyl isn’t too rare. $10 at most.

Re: 1996 fan club cd in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
I bought it from Therapy? years ago for about $10. I’d guess that it’s worth considerably more now though. $25 seems fair to me.

Re: ‘Have a merry fucking xmas’ ORIGINAL 7” on ebay in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Just check the filesize of the picture from Suicide Pact and the picture on eBay. If they’re the same, then you know he copied it.

Re: ‘Have a merry fucking xmas’ ORIGINAL 7” on ebay in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
If you’re going to pay by the check (or cheque to you), the only recourse you have is if you keep $1 in the account, and let the check bounce. Personally, if I was going to bid on anything of value, I would either use escrow, or make arrangements with the seller to pay a percentage of it (maybe 25% or so) and then pay the rest when it arrives in satisfactory condition.

Re: BBC Evening Session 1995 in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Alan, it’s the same one you have. I don’t think Screamager was from the BBC session, but it was put on the CD along with it, and a live version of Teethgrinder. I didn’t really do a good job of specifying which track was from the actual radio session.

I have one BBC Session on CD, but not that one, sorry!

Re: yet another question… in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
For some people, it’s exciting to have something considered rare. I take great pride in my collection and the fact that I have some ‘rare’ items.

Re: yet another question… in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Not too rare of an item. You paid the average price for it.

Re: a few things… in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
I’m quite the walking price guide I used to be, but here’s some basic info:
The tapes might be worth something, but it depends on the recording. I’m going to guess that the live version on the tape is probably the same as a b-side or something. If it’s really a previously unreleased recording, that definitely adds to the value.
The Fan Club CD was given out to members in 1996. You used to also be able to write to Therapy? and buy a copy for about $8. I don’t see many of them being traded or for sale, which leads me to believe that they’re fairly rare. I probably wouldn’t sell mine for less than $25 or for a good trade.
I’d personally give you $20-25 for either of those shirts, because they’re both nice shirts. It’s just an added bonus that they’re signed. The drum stick is nice since Fyfe left too. I won’t bother you with all the crap about certificates of authenticity, I’ll just say that I’d pay about $15 for a drum stick like that.

Nothing, I used to have them both.

Re: nurse+sss in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Actually when it was released in Australia, they packaged them together. You got SSS free when you bought Nurse. I thought the cover had slightly different colors to it, but I’m probably wrong about that.

Re: I found Meat Abstract today! in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Actually I was asking about a Canadian promo that has Screamager and Nowhere on it. I assume you got the Die Laughing with Tatty Seaside Town on it as well? I bought that for about $8 years ago (it was actually my first promo). I figured you’d have had that one by now.

Re: Semi-Detached boxset in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
It’s not a hard thing to get. I see quite a bit on eBay whenever I go searching there. You paid a fine price for it. I think it originally sold for like $25US or so. It’s not rare and it’s not worth that much, so most people are selling it for a little more than you paid for it. You got a good price, but don’t think that you can really sell it for more.

Re: Europe 94 in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
I haven’t heard Dead Laughing so I couldn’t comment on that one. Anyone else think it’s odd that the same songs appears up to 3 times on the Isolation bootleg?
Posted on Fri, 2 November 2001 at 16:56
Re: Europe 94 in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
It’s not your CD players, the bootlegs are just shit. The best ones are Isolation, No Love Lost and Fistful of Power in terms of sound quality.

Re: Europe 94 in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
You’re probably right. I wasn’t able to bring my CDs with me when I moved, so I don’t have them all yet. I can make people CD-R copies if they want when I do have them, but like Christian said, the audio quality is mostly crap.

Re: Europe 94 in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Sounds like the Live In Europe CD. I think it’s something like 16 tracks, plus the 2 tracks from the Merry Fucking Xmas 7’.

Re: colectors, your help is needed! in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Except almost all the Therapy? 7’ vinyls are colored, so no big deal there. I’d say $10.

Re: HAMFC on ebay. in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Well we don’t know if there is a Meat Abstract bootleg, Whaley, we’re just speculating right now.
I’m not a huge fan of the sound quality on ANY vinyl, particularly the cheap European bootleg vinyls (live in Astoria, HAMFC among others). Granted, I owned a really crappy turntable, but they still sounded like shit. I’ve had the vinyl vs. CD argument with people before, who will swear up and down that vinyls have better sound quality. I know enough from back in my raving days that you need a pretty good table and sound system to make a vinyl sound as clear as a CD. These days, a T? vinyl is pretty much just a collectors item.

Re: HAMFC on ebay. in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a Meat Abstract bootleg but I kind of doubt that there is. We would have seen them for sale by now. Even the boot of HAMFC shows up on eBay ever few months. A bootleg of Meat Abstract would certianly be worth more.
Alan, either I have a shitty record player (which I did), a shitty copy of the bootleg (which I do) or the original official version has shitty sound quality. I recall Michael saying that the bootleg had garbage quality compared to the original, which is why I assumed that all of the bootlegs sounded just as awful. On the CD bootleg with the HAMFC tracks (I forget which bootleg it is), the quality sounds much better. Of course, the people who made the CD bootleg could have cleaned up the original source somewhat I suppose.
In conclusion, I paid $20 for a piece of vinyl I’ll never listen to.
