Re: WeltTurbojugendTage in Therapy? Live
@rbw: so next time you don´t have to hide in the shadow *cough*
@irishlady: I´m glad you got your car back and everything went ok. They kicked us out of the bar at 6:30 anyway (like every day ;)) There should be some pics online soon, at least there will be a dvd in about two month.

May in Therapy? Live
Title: May
Not sure if anybody already knows. This is from a Turbojugend-newsletter sent to me:
Hello Presidents,
my ass-sistant P.Orno told me that he is plastered with mails regarding the “Weltjugendtage” in Hamburg. I understand this so please read on.
Here’s at least some details you can spread around and in your Jugend.
Today we made the deal with the big venue “Grosse Freiheit” in St. Pauli so we’re getting closer to official announcements.
the plans are as following:
Thursday, 20th of may is a national holiday in germany called “Vatertag”(possibly in other countries, too).
Some local bars (Lunacy, Fred Schlemmereck, Molotow etc.) might offer a special Turbo-program (DJ’s?) so at least the Jugend already in town will have platforms to meet.
Friday, 21st of may will see us all at the venue “Grünspan”. We haven’t decided about the exact schedule but think of going for three Turbonegro cover bands plus possibly Peter Pan Speedrock.
Plus some stupid stuff such as a quiz or karaoke competitions (TJ A vs. TJ X singing “Erection”)…
The venue has a capacity of ca. 7-800 people.
Saturday, 21st of may is the centre of the Jugenddays at “Grosse Freiheit”.
With 4 internationally known bands. At this point we have Therapy? and HIM and talk to 5 other bands. Oh - The Hives would have loved to play but one of the members is expecting a baby around that date so they had to cancel…
Be sure that we will do our best to present two more heavy-weights.
After the show we’ll stay at the venue and have a party while listening to several DJ’s. I’m sure that our friends from Turbonegro would like to take over this part…
Tickets: The system will be like this:
All presidents will have the first right to order tickets. Their job is to ask around in their Jugend and come up with a number and of course with a payment scenario. Yes, it sure is possible to bring girl friends and comrades. Since this is a Jugend event we want to make sure that the right people are able to participate.
After this initial period we may give remaining tickets to FC St. Pauli ticket center for few weeks (optional).
We do not think that we will even sell the tickets to normal ticket offices as the event might be sold out weeks before the date…The capacity is 1.500 and a band like HIM sold out the venue twice within a very short time.
The tickets will be deposited at the individual venues. We will offer a combo ticket for both days.
Accommodation:
Another plan is to offer a travel package together with a travel agency and a hotel.
More details soon.
And now a more personal word:
We realize that this whole event is a big challenge for us - especially the financial aspect made us think much longer about doing it or not.
Well, we decided to go for it now and hope we will come out of this without getting bankrupt. Plus hearing about the Sacramento Jugend buying the plane tickets did not leave us many choices!
We’ll offer some special merchandise - any suggestions are welcome.
Ok, that was quite long, hope to see you all in good shape in may.
best wishes,
El Presidente
