Re: RIP Keith Baxter in General Therapy? Topics

So what’s the deal with the High Anxiety demo? Never heard that one before. Can someone light me in?

Re: T? support New Model Army in Cologne (22.12.2007) in Therapy? Live

Great gig. It was the first time I heard Innocent X en Brainsaw live since 1994. I especially enjoyed Teethgrinder, Potato Junkie and Isolation. The sound was muddy, the band not that tight (which was to be expected at this one-off-gig), but great venue, great atmosphere and great spirits! Really shouldn’t be moaning! Thanx T?

PS> Oh yeah. If you look at the setlist I thought was coming (http://www.therapyquestionmark.co.uk/wallofmouths/discussions/10825): replace Rock You Monkeys with Our White Noise and add Brainsaw and you’re there!

Setlist for Cologne 22-12-07! in Therapy? Live

(Think this “joke” has been made before).

Potato Junkie
Stories
Rust
If It Kills Me
Turn
Knives
Screamager
Rain Hits Concrete
Rock You Monkeys
Polar Bear
Innocent X
Die Laughing
Teethgrinder
Isolation
Nowhere

(They didn’t play Walk Through Darkness and Meat Abstract though they were on the setlist)

To make a long story short: who’s counting on at least one odd choice?

Cheerz,
TW

PS>Kinda thought I touched on a new subject, but apologies in advance if this were to be moved to the existing New Model Army topic.

Re: When Troublegum was nominated for the Mercury Prize… in General Therapy? Topics

Hmmm, that performance of Die Laughing would’ve been an excellent rarity for the Troublegum 10-year-anniversary-edition that of course was probably never considered. Anyone up for a what-if-tracklist?

six compo cds feat therapy? in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

http://www.therapyquestionmark.co.uk/wallofmouths/showthread.php? … eadid=9910

As y’all can see badmother bought them from me for 50 quid not so long ago (so you can partially thank me for the excellent condition they’re in).

Pleazzzzzze don’t pay one cent more!

Cheerz,
TW

PS> @bad mother. The least you could’ve done is send me an email you’re re-selling the stuff, man. I was hoping I made a huge fan happy with completing his collection, y’know. This is not the kinda place to make a little profit, esp. in such a short time, me thinks. Anyway, I probably shouldn’t be bitchin’, I guess this is the way the trading/selling-thing works…

Re: BBC Sessions - music through a cheap transistor in General Therapy? Topics

Must say that I’m blown away, so they say, by what I’m hearing. Brainsaw and obviously all the Nurse-tracks (especially Nausea… djeez, that one is loud!) I think are way superior than the album versions.

Why haven’t I collected all these radio versions back in the day? But then again, it’s quite an experience hearing ‘brand new sparkling’ versions of some of your favorite songs after more than ten years.

Speaking of which, I see some dude on some other forum talking about the Dave Fanning sessions.

He mentions an early performance of Die Laughing, that sounds like a real treat. Is that one widely available on bootlegs (or mp3)?

Re: BBC Sessions - music through a cheap transistor in General Therapy? Topics

I see, so Pile of Bricks was the first track on their first Peel Session. Missed that one. Djeeezzz, am I curious to hear ‘Auto Surgery’ from the same session! Definitely one of their most underrated trax, if you ask me…

I really like the title ‘Music through a cheap transistor’, by the way. Nice recycled lyric from ‘Safe’. And ‘Wall of Mouths’ has pile of bricks in it, any relation to that old one?

BBC Sessions - music through a cheap transistor in General Therapy? Topics

Title: iTunes download: music through cheap transistor!

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned someplace else.

“Therapy? - Music through a cheap transistor - The BBC Sessions”

28 storming session tracks including the previously unreleased ‘The Sweeney’ ‘Lost Highway’ and ‘Pile of Bricks’ exclusively available from iTunes from 26th Feb.

Fookin’ great title!!!, and I thought I knew kinda everything about T? but where the heck does Pile of Bricks come from???????

By the way, I got this from a nice ad in the latest Mojo, page 13. Sure been a long time since I saw Therapy? promoted in Mojo, guess that explanes me rushing online!

The sleeve says: Featuring Prisonbreaker Perversonality Nausea Teethgrinder Bloody Blue Pile Of Bricks Screamager Trigger Inside Knives Misery and Lost Highway.

Available as digital downloads only.

So, tell me about Pile of Bricks…

Re: BM: Make me an offer I can’t refuse… in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Not worth selling? Depends on how you look at it. It actually makes me quite happy to know that Bad Mother is now in the hands of a longtime dedicated fan, who’s trying to complete his collection. Same with selling the Stay Happy promo to Soul Doubt. It’s as simple as this: I don’t really care for the items anymore, I’m in desperate need for some cash, and thanx the WoM I know that it ends up in good hands. For me it’s not a case of which item is rarest. I much prefer to frame my copy of Meat Abstract than Bad Mother (and those b-sides are safe on my harddisc, these are different times than 1996).

And about the mortgage. Oh yes, it helps. Sell some stuff every month pays monthly bills, y’know. You’re looking at the bigger picture, but it all comes down to paying those bills every first of the month - without a job at the moment. Over the years I collected over 2500 cd’s. Selling just a few of them, trust me, you don’t notice. It’s one hell of a nice way to make a living, mate.

How much for some Japanse releases? in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Title: How much for some Japanse releases?

So how much would Nurse and Semi-Detached fetch nowadays. Kinda curious. Thanx for the input.

And yes, they’re up for grabs: jf.wiersma@gmail.com

The bonus trax are not really rare, but then again: it’s another way of getting your greasy little hands on 60 Watt Bulb… just kidding (see 60 Watt Bulb thread).

Also for sale: Hats Off To The Insane (regular one) + 1-trk Screamager promo (with that nice Hats Off-like cover)

I offered the lot to ‘badmother’ for 50 quid (priority sending included)…

he’s obviously first in line to accept, but he did not yet get in touch with me.

Anyway, IF (and that’s a capital IF) badmother says no, people can start emailing me.

You can always mail me now, to be the next in line.

Well, I’m usually selling items for the amount that I originally purchased them…

Except for some rare stuff obviously…

but that’s not really the case here, so do the math!

For sale: 6 compilations feat. Therapy? in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Title: For sale: 6 compilations feat. Therapy?

Six-in-one-package:

- Peace Together (1993), Invisible Sun
- Judgment Night (1993), Come & Die (w/Fatal)
- Nativity In Black (1994), Iron Man (w/Ozzy Osbourne)
- The Smiths Is Dead (1998), Vicar In A Tutu
- Violent World, a tribute to The Misfits (1998), Where Eagles Dare
- Alpha Motherfuckers, a tribute to Turbonegro (2CD, 2001), Denim Demon

So with the exception of The King Is Dead (the hamburger LP, feat. an early version of Bowels Of Love) I think these six make up alle non-album-tracks/covers that weren’t released on regular Therapy?-releases. Correct me if I’m wrong (Obviously, Where Eagles Dare ended up on Ten Year Plan en Denim Demon on Japanese Shameless). All are in excellent condition. I think The Smiths Is Dead is pretty rare.

I’m getting rid of:

Who Did This?

Live ‘94 in England (only half the booklet)

VK Brussels 19-02-1993 (VIDEO)

Re: Therapy? Interview with Fyfe in General Therapy? Topics

Title: X-cellent stuff

Sure makes you hope Perversonality will be on the webgig-list! Nice shot of some other band’s drummer strangely sliced in between near the end, by the way. And Troublegum was supposed to be a 12 track album??? You guyz suppose Screamager and Turn were originally intended as EP only, or what else?

Re: Exclusive Therapy? Webgig in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Don’t get ur hopes up

For sure the ‘usual suspects’ will get the most votes. That’s probably part of the plan, otherwise they wouldn’t be on the list.

Think it’s gonna be 8 or 9 or even 10 usuals and then 2 or 3 rarities, thanx to Womble-action. In no particular order something like this:

Innocent X
Dancin’ With Manson
Teethgrinder
Nausea
Screamager
Turn
Nowhere
Knives
Die Laughing
Femtex
Suing God

You can replace Manson and Femtex in that list with Moment of Clarity and Straight Life, think of the last vote. If any ‘new’ song (Dead, Sprung, Darkness etc.) pops up, I demand I recount…

Anyway, think this is a brilliant idea. I voted for Loser Cop, Innocent X and Die Like A Motherfucker.

Re: Bad Mother on eBay in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Title: Infernal Love + extra disc

Aloha, never thought I’d ever reply to a message from RobbyVDH again, but what the hell…

Around 1997/1998 in a musicstore in Brussels (one of the Anspach-ones) I saw Infernal Love in a 2CD-package (no stickers whatsoever). The guy behind the counter showed me the extra disc was actually the Bad Mother-single. I guess he did that himself, he probably lost the booklet of the single and decided to “pimp” Infernal Love and sell it. Anyway, I didn’t buy it since I already had it.

The big question is: what would that fetch nowadays? A Bad Mother without the case+booklet?

Cheerz everyone,

Title: Yes, I will reply to myself

And the question if it’s a case of Therapy? specificly asking to play Oosterpoort or the people @ Oosterpoort just do a good job of booking Therapy? really is just a good question for the FAQ-competition. How does it really work? Once again: I’m not complaining, I’m just curious. And to R.Roxy: I don’t have a problem with it, I’m just… curious.

Re: Therapy? to Groningen in Therapy? Live

RobbyVDH wrote:

Just be happy they are touring close to where you live and stop complaining I’d say :o

Fuck off, mate, I am not complaining at all!

As to other replies: the bottled beer was just an example to point out the difference between clubs! Just one tiny example… I mean, Vera can be considered as a real “club” like Melkweg or Tivoli, and the Oosterpoort really is nothing more than a conference-center, like a small RAI (Amsterdam)…

I was only wandering why Therapy? play the same venue three times in the same city when there’s another great place over there as well, and like I said the last time in Oosterpoort the place wasn’t exactly packed! Even in Amsterdam they play Paradiso and the Melkweg, so why should that be called complaining? After two times Oosterpoort I would love to see them play in Vera - and I’m sure people from the north will agree. Remember the gig in Doornroosje, Nijmegen? One of the best gigs I’ve ever been to, and from stories I hear about Vera you have the same kinda feel over there. Oosterpoort is too businesslike, if you ask me, and everyone can disagree or agree. Like I said in the original post: I’ve never been to Vera, and it would be one hell of a good reason to go there if Therapy? plays there. That’s one of the reasons why I like to travel to T?-gigs actually! If it wasn’t for them, I would have never been (yet) to Nighttown, Paard van Troje, Tivoli, Doornroosje, and also Oosterpoort… that Ten Yean Plan-show over there was amazing! So who’s complaining here, mate?

One more thing: I live in Amsterdam, saw Therapy? twice in the Oosterpoort, so I’m not happy that play in the neighbourhood cause I’m more than happy to travel all the way to Groningen!

Re: Therapy? to Groningen in Therapy? Live

Title: Why o why?

I never thought of this and suddenly it hits me: why o why are Therapy? playing in the Oosterpoort once again, instead of Vera (for the uninformed: also in Groningen)???

I mean, Vera is often described as one of the best clubs in The Netherlands, especially for rock-concerts with the audience drinking beer in bottles instead of those annoying plastic cups (just a small example)… well, I’ve never been there - maybe somebody who has can tell more about Vera, it’s got quite a reputation, y’know.

Anyway, is this a case of people @ Oosterpoort booking Therapy? or maybe Therapy? specificly wants to play there again (which I can imagine after the Ten Year Plan-show, but the opening show of the Scopophobia-tour was, was, well, it seemed that not only the band had to get started… and I doubt the place was even half full!), or are the people @ Vera just sleeping?

Damn, just look at the agenda at the official Vera-site (forgive me for no link) and see that Therapy? really fits in there!
