Re: Worst Live Bands in Other Bands & Artists

the cure - kiss me tour

Wow, you saw them during the Kissing tour in 1987? I’m jealous. I’ve seen The Cure 9 times since 2000. They can be a little boring sometimes, I admitt, but on the other hand they’re the only band who can move me to tears during a concert…

I went to see them last month in Brussels. They were really excellent!
The last concert I went to was Franz Ferdinand in Leuven. Another great gig, but an awful sound

Re: The Cure, anyone?… in Other Bands & Artists

The Cure is my all time favorite band. I’ve seen them 9 times so far. My nickname comes from one of their greatest songs, called Lament. I’m also an administrator on the site http://www.foreverdrowning.com. Please feel free to visit the site :)

If you’re looking for an album to start discovering The Cure, I suggest The Head On The Door from 1985.

I’m looking for these recordings in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Title: I’m looking for these recordings

I’m looking for the following recordings:

August 15th 2002 - Marktrock, Leuven, Belgium
May 21st 2003 - Botanique, Brussels, Belgium
March 30th 2005 - Muziek-o-droom, Hasselt, Belgium
July 2nd 2005 - Rock Werchter, Werchter, Belgium

I don’t have a lot of Therapy? stuff to trade, but if you’re looking for some great shows by other bands (The Cure, Joy Division, Smashing Pumpkins, R.E.M., …) let me know. Thanks!

Re: T? play at Rock Werchter 2005 in Therapy? Live

Re: T? play at Rock Werchter 2005 in Therapy? Live

Re: T? play at Rock Werchter 2005 in Therapy? Live

I bought my 4day ticket more than a month ago. I’m sooo happy they’re playing Werchter. They deserve to play more than 1 hour, but we can’t get it all I suppose.

Apart from Therapy? The Cure also played 5 times Werchter (1981, 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2004) :)

Re: T? @ Muziekodroom Hasselt 30/3 in Therapy? Live

Last night it was the best T? gig I ever experienced :)
Excellent atmosphere (well, after 5-6 songs) great setlist, hot girl behind the merchandising desk :p,… shame about the bad beer (Cristal):s
And thanks to Neil for the drum stick. I’ll give it a very special place :)

Thanks Razzi for posting the pic :)Please post some more ;)

About the 2 support acts. The first one was OK indeed. The second one was a lame The Hives rip off…

Talking about a grower, ‘Wild Mood Swings’ is a grower. I didn’t like the album for about three years :) Apart from some silly songs like ‘Round & Round & Round’, ‘Strange Attraction’ and ‘Numb’, it’s a good album. Nothing more, nothing less. But it could’ve been better if they had reduced the album to 10 songs instead of 14.

To Bad Karma. If you have some money left, I think you should buy 1985’s ‘The Head On The Door’ or maybe ‘Staring At The Sea - The Singles’ (released in 1986)

The Same Deep Water As You (from Disintegration) is the best song ever made.

Can you please post the set list?

Re: Hey Cure fans in Other Bands & Artists

I think The Head On The Door (released in 1985) is the best album to start with. It contains excellent pop songs (Inbetween Days, Close To Me), dark songs (Sinking, Kyoto Song) and weird, experimental songs (Six Different Ways, The Blood). It’s just ‘pure Cure’… :)

My favourite is Born In A Crash, but that doesn’t count, does it? :)
