Re: Dublin Instore in Therapy? Live

i’m finished work at four so it looks like I’m going to be pegging it down Baggot Street at a horrible pace while trying to get a ‘live like a fucker’ t-shirt on :)

WOMble lost in London in Chit-Chat

Title: WOMble lost in London

hey I’m just looking for a little help from any of you London based WOMbles out there and it would be much appreciated. As part of my college course (journalism) i have to do a work placement and I’m after getting one with a magazine in London. The only thing is I’m flying over there on monday (19th of this month) and I’m going to be staying there until september 17th and as of yet I’ve been unlucky as regards finding someplace to stay (read: every bastardin house/flat/whatever i try has already fucking rented out the room). And i, unlike every other Irish person on the planet, have no relatives in london who would be kind enough to let me sleep on their couch.

So yeah to get to the point if anyone out there knows someone who’s renting out a spare room in a house or a flat or whatever for the next two months (preferably in the N7/Finsbury area, although I’m not that pushed, finding a place to stay is priotory and if it means a trek to work everyday then fuck it) then could they drop me a line or something. It’d be a great help.

all help rewarded with beer :)

Re: Dave Grohl/NIN in Other Bands & Artists

i just think it’ll be great to hear how he fits in with the NIN sound. He’s such an inventive drummer, as his stuff with QOTSA proved, and NIN are a great band. Can’t wait to hear the album. WE’ll probably be waiting another two fucking years for it though knowing trent.

Dave Grohl To Guest On New Nine Inch Nails Album
(Source: Blabbermouth.net)

Former NIRVANA/QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE drummer Dave Grohl recorded a guest appearance on drums for the new NINE INCH NAILS album, “Bleedthrough”, during a session at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, Ca. this past Friday (July 9).

As previously reported, the follow-up to NINE INCH NAILS’ 1999 double album, “The Fragile”, is set to feature production contributions from Rick Rubin (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, AUDIOSLAVE, SLAYER), Atticus Ross (12 ROUNDS, TAPEWORM), Jerome Dillon, Leo Herrera, and mix engineer Rich Costey. Among the songtitles set to appear on the CD are “The Line Begins To Blur”, “Every Day Is Exactly The Same” and “My Dead Friend”. No release date has yet been scheduled.

Re: best 3 piece bands in Other Bands & Artists

it’s got to be Muse. how only three people can play music that complex and that loud live is unbelievable.
Therapy? of course too.
And Motorhead - loudest three piece in existence

I don’t think he was saying that, mate. At least, I hope not. I know Smith’s got big hair, but it ain’t by any stretch of the imagination an afro.

yeah i get that :)
what i took from NTKOG’s post was that he liked the album and that he liked the produciton on the ATD-I album, which was a lot cleaner than most of R.R’s other stuff.
so hopefully/maybe/possibly the production on the cure album is something similar.

dont forget to point out that it’s a Distorted quote, otherwise people might think it was something your mother said :)

Re: New The Cure in Other Bands & Artists

i’ve been a fan of ross rob (boo hiss i know) and that makes me more interested to hear it, especially if you’re saying its like ATD-I. ‘relationship…’ is very well produced.
was never a big cure fan. not that i dont like them, more like i havent heard much of them, apart from the singles. i may have to pick this up though.
another album gets added to the never ending list (sigh)

Re: New The Cure in Other Bands & Artists

Re: Dillinger escape plan in Other Bands & Artists

it sure is.
i’d love to see them live. was meant to go twice but missed them both times. drink gets in the way on occassion. ah sure there’ll be another time I suppose.
When’s the new album out? I heard a song off it on a Metal Hammer sampler Cd and it was all over the place. No change really.
