Re: Have They Gone And Done It? in General Therapy? Topics

Nothing to worry about, they’re just in between albums and tours. Sure, they played a few festivals and the like, but the most recent album was out last year and the heavy touring that accompanies an album’s release was done then. I imagine they’re just recharging their batteries before heading back to the (rehearsal) studio.

Also, don’t forget, this year there has been the webgig, a DVD compilation and next Monday the BBC sessions get a release on cd. Not too shabby!

Re: BBC Sessions - music through a cheap transistor in General Therapy? Topics

I’m sure it’ll be available on play.com, or at least I hope. I get a lot of stuff sent to Spain from them and there’s no postage to pay and they’re fast. So any Europeans who can’t get it can try with them. Having said that, the cd has yet to appear on play.com.

I haven’t got the BBC sessions (yet), but maybe one of you fine WOMbles might want to rate them at the above link!

To everyone who hasn’t received their sleeve yet: all sleeves ordered until March 5th have been sent out. The next batch will take a few weeks longer due to the band being on tour. Apologies for the delay.

That answers my question, I ordered the gig on March 6th :( . Gig still rocks like a MOFO. Sent a mail to the band to advise them of just how good I thought the gig and production was and was pleased that Michael replied with a very nice email a day or so later. Good guys them T? fellas.

I think she’s bemused because she knows as well as I do that the early numbered sleeves were given to the band and people who had helped out with the webgig. So unless you are Michael McKeegan, you don’t own number 4.

Did Michael get his sleeve signed?

Re: Exclusive Therapy? webgig now available in General Therapy? Topics

In the end I had to buy a DVD disc. It doesn’t work on my DVD player though, but that’s probably something I did. Works perfectly on the computer and that’s good enough for me. The whole thing rocks, very impressive. Dancin’ with Manson is exceptional and it’s great to hear songs not often played live. All in all, while not essential (for me, that’s the albums and b-sides) a nice little addition to the T? discography which I’m getting great enjoyment from listening to.

Re: Exclusive Therapy? webgig now available in General Therapy? Topics

Cheers, I think someone posted earlier that it’s 597mb, so I’ll give it a go. If not, it’s saved on the computer anyway.

Title: question

I’ve just bought and am downloading the video, but can anyone advise me if I can burn the video to a cdr and still have it work in a dvd player, or does it have to be to a blank dvd disc?

Re: Exclusive Therapy? webgig now available in General Therapy? Topics

A question: I’ve read a few things about it taking ages to downlaod the DVD part of the download, is this true? Are we talking hours or days? I ask because I want to download it from a friend’s computer (I’m in work now, so can’t use this computer) but rarely spend time in his house, so would only have a couple/few of hours to do so.

Re: Official reviews of “OCFA” topic. in General Therapy? Topics

From a Spanish website
Translation at bottom of page

Therapy? – One cure fits all / Spitfire Records / 2006

Translation:

The Irish group rose that prominence at the start of the nineties with the impecible ‘Troublegum’ return with their nineth disc. Therapy?’s career has been full of high and lows, they’ve never achieved a disc as rounded as the previous mentioned, and there’s always been exceptions among their works such as “Shameless” and “Semi-Detatched”. The group lead by Andy Cairns is characterised by incorporating many styles into their sound, that go from rock to metal, from pop to punk and grunge. Their sound is one of diversity and the proof is in songs such as “Lose It All”, “Our White Noise” or “ Walk Through Darkness”.
Above all, on “One Cure Fits All”, the Belfast group opt for an aggressive sound, filled with metallic riffs and unhinging drums. While this is not their best album, it is a disc that will be enjoyed live alongside jewels from the past like “Church of Noise”, “Knives”, “Nowhere” and “Trigger Inside”.

Re: Album download in General Therapy? Topics

I can wait another week or so. The ep is sufficient for the moment. I like the ritual of buying my favourite bands’ new albums and bringing them home to listen to while I look through the artwork.

To comment on the production. I thought it sounded great. I’m very excited about the album now after hearing the ep.

Yes, because I’m a T? fan, but I’m not a download fan. I will of course be posting looking for advice from my fellow WOMbles nearer the date as to how best download said tracks.

(I’ve got access to a PC and own a creative zen, but will burn to cd, if anyone wants to volunteer advice ;) )

Re: Will There Be A Single? (Rain Hits Concrete chat) in General Therapy? Topics

I’ll most likely try and download it on a friends PC. It’ll be the first time I’ve paid for a download too. Won’t have a clue what i’m doing though. As you’ve rightly pointed out, 3 new songs make it worth while.

I suppose the positive side of it is, it’s available in all territories, so our American friends who’ve been starved of T? albums/tours will have the exact same access. Hopefully sales will be substantial enough that it helps with getting distribution of the album over in the States.

:(

Non album tracks I can’t get my hands on. I’m not surprised this is the route they’ve gone down, but I am disappointed.

Me encanta España, aunque no he podido ver Therapy? en directo aqui. Espero k vengan durante la proxima gira. Normalmente vuelvo a Dublín para sus conciertos.
