Re: Hello in Chit-Chat

So there’s 55 pages on this thread, obviously I’m not going to read it to see what you’re all talking about, so I’ll just say:

uh huh, yeah, good point. mmm, not so sure about that. ah, I see.

Re: travel to Dublin from England - help! in Chit-Chat

If you’re bringing music gear Ryanair may not be that cheap, they charge for everything over 15kg. As far as I know most other airlines have a limit of 25kg and rarely enforce it, whereas ryanair are very strict. Basically, I’ve done my fair share of travelling, usually bringing lots of stuff and Ryanair are the only ones to ever charge me for overweight baggage.

There are plenty of sites like cheapestflights.co.uk and ebookers you should check out too.

Re: Bill Hicks in Chit-Chat

I’m another certified Bill Hicks devotee. I’ve got all his discs. Most of the material is still pretty relevent, and if some of the topics are a little dated, it doesn’t matter, cos it’s so funny!

Re: best … in Chit-Chat

I’ve always been a huge fan of Fyfe’s.
Then again Neil is shit hot too (at drumming that is ladies).
But I went for Graham on this occasion as, like Alan mentioned, his drumming on SP-YF is a bit tasty.

Re: Young & naive - what were you thinking? in Chit-Chat

I had a Sinitta album. In fairness, I thought it was shite even then.

Re: Proposed English smoking ban… in Chit-Chat

I was in Ireland when the ban came in, I fucking loved it. You’re clothes don’t stink the next day and your eyes don’t sting. I have no problem really with people smoking, I used to smoke myself, but in the long run it’s a good thing. The problem is starting off with this kind of law, it’s difficult for the smokers who’ve smoked all their lives, but it’s going to make it almost pointless for younger people to start. When you get to 18 and you go for a beer but can’t smoke, there’ll be no incentive to keep smoking.

Re: Your First Album? in Chit-Chat

Michael Jackson - Bad

Recently re-bought it on cd. Back then MJ was a famous singer you know, not just a kiddie-fiddler.

Well, I guess he’d need to be fit to play the drums the way he does.

Re: What’s everybody reading in Chit-Chat

Just started ‘Blood & Gold’ by Anne Rice. I love her vampire books.

Flavia, which book are you reading about Spanish legends?

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

Wilt in Whelans. Very good it was too. The support bands were pretty good too, a band called Label and a three piece girl group whose name I didn’t catch, but sounded like Babes in Toyland (this is a good thing).
