Re: Top Ten Rock Albums. in Other Bands & Artists
In no particular order as they come to me (could be different tomorrow)
Faith No More - King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime
Afghan Whigs - Gentleman
Kerbdog - Kerbdog
Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Pixies - Doolittle
Primus - Frizzlefry
Whipping Boy - Heartworm
Therapy? - Troublegum
Nirvana - In Utero
Various - The Crow OST
Like I said, if I were to do this tomorrow it’d likely contain 10 entirely different albums including the likes of Metallica, Anthrax, Sonic Youth, Iggy Pop, Bob Mould etc…

Re: Tour in Therapy? Live
which date Kerrang are they in? I live in Spain and Kerrang usually comes out a week or two later here and it’s cling wrapped so I can’t leaf through it to see if T? are in it.

Re: The lost videos in General Therapy? Topics
On scuzz tv they often have t? videos you can text in to request if you’re in the UK. Usually on the “Antiques Rockshow”, I think it’s called.

Re: Ash Meltdown in Other Bands & Artists
Both the album and bonus cd are very good. I know tacking on a bonus cd/dvd is a marketing tool and all that, but if more bands made their ltd. edition versions as good a quality as a full live cd I’d be happy buy these versions more often. ‘Meltdown’ is a v.good album!!!!!!

Re: Wishes for the next album in General Therapy? Topics
Good thread!!!
I’d love a ltd. edition live cd, something official to listen to on the discman on the way to work.
A cover version chosen by the board is intrigueing. Perhaps T? could look into site only releases. On the Henry Rollins site there are some class web only releases available of demos and songs that didn’t make it onto the record label releases. I’d love to get my hands on some of T?’s ‘leftovers’ and/or demos.

I don’t think they were meant to be playing tonight. Michael’s brother got married today so I doubt it.
So that’s why there was no Dublin gig. Can’t complain about that, and I’ve done a lot of complaining about the lack of a Dublin gig.

Re: What song or moment first got you into therapy? in General Therapy? Topics
A friend of mine had recorded a T? demo from Dave Fanning’s radio show many a year ago and myself and a load mates became instant T? fans. The demo had (I think) early versions of Dancin’ with Manson, Innocent X and Die Laughing, which Fanning called Realityfuck (hence the username :D ). Actually, Meat Abstract might have been on the show, I haven’t listened to that tape in years. Anyway, the moment was about 14 yrs ago, drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes, listening to good tunes!

Why wont you play in Dublin this summer? with the current or upcoming tour? Cork yes belfast yes dublin no…why???
I work 6 days a week and I cant afford to take the time off to travel to either of these irish gigs (You know I would if I could) but I was hoping against hope that I’d see a dublin date added…preferbaly in the Ambassador (love that venue)…
Am I labouring in a false hope or will you have a dublin gig?
DD. :(
I hear ya buddy!!! But I must admit with some of the other posters on here, we have it a lot better in Dublin gigwise than the rest of the country, so it’s hard to begrudge the Corkonians for getting the south of the border gig. It’d be great if T? even played the Temple Bar Music Centre seen as it’s not a tour that’s in support of an album. Ash are playing there in a couple of weeks and they’re aguably, at this stage, a bigger band than T?.
My main gripe is just that by the time T? release new material and play Dublin again I’ll probably have moved back to Spain (the reason I haven’t experienced the T? live experience in many a year), but hey, such is life. Maybe they’ll play Barcelona on the next tour and I can be their city guide

Stone Temple Pilots in Other Bands & Artists
Title: Stone Temple Pilots
What do you guys think of S.T.P ? Personally, I’ve always loved them and was pissed when they called it a day. To make things worse there was only one new song on the best of. But on the ltd. edition bonus DVD there is so much stuff such as all their vids and live performences, it could have been released as a DVD to be sold by itself.
If you ever wanted to check them out, the best of is a good starting place, if you’re a fan already, spend a couple of extra quid and get the version with the DVD, it’s class.

Re: Leasure Death in General Therapy? Topics
I’ve been introducing a few friends to T? lately (they’ve since parted with cash and bought a few albums) and most of them think troublegum is okay, but not great. They prefer High Anxiety and Suicide Pact, which they love.

hope they tour the new album and play Dublin B4 the end of the year B4 I move back to Spain. Yep, I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record (not to mention a whiney fuck) but it’s all borne out off a love of all things THERAPY? !!
Great to hear there are new songs in the pipeline. Can’t wait to hear them

The Welsh band will play the Mandela Hall on May 1st with Therapy? taking up the challenge of support slot.
Challenge???? More like a stroll in the park for the T? boys. I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come, T? becoming a support act, not after releasing the fantastic High Anxiety and Scopophobia. I guess it might introduce them to some new, younger rock fans and as they’re in-between promotional duties it’s easy money without having the responsiblities of expenses and shifting the tickets themselves.
FFAF are mates with Zane Lowe of MTV2, so maybe he’ll see the gig and think, ‘right, that’s the shit we need for the couch, some REAL rock!’.
I can see the point of playing with The Wildhearts, they’re mates and they’ll be great gigs, BUT WHY NOT IN DUBLIN!!! I’M BACK AFTER 4 YEARS AND NOW THEY’RE AVOIDING PLAYING HERE. But like the Murphy’s, I’m not bitter.

Re: Therapy In Ireland in Therapy? Live
I hope a T? gig is scheduled for Dublin. I’ve been living in Australia and Spain (two fairly T? free zones concert-wise) over the last 4 years and would hate that when I am finally in the same country that they’re playing in I can’t get to the gig. So I’ll say a few prayers to the big guy (Andy, not God).
