I’ve got “The Best of Rare Cult” which is a the best of the 6 CD collection or something. Some good stuff on there.

I haven’t got the Self Titled. No good I take it?

Personally, I loved the self-titled album. Some great songs!!

Re: Meat Abstact Demo in General Therapy? Topics

I had a demo from the radio years ago of ‘meat abstract’. it was pre ‘babyteeth’, but as it was from a session, it clearly had no artwork. A mate of mines brother had the 7” single, but i’m fucked if I can remember what the cover looked like.

Re: I never did say hello… in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Re: I never did say hello… in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

just saw this:

“Dinah Brand to release debut album
Dublin band Dinah Brand will release their debut album ‘Pale Monkey Blues’ in JJ Smyths, Aungier Street on Friday 28 February.

Dinah Brand are former Pet Lamb member Dylan Philips, David Lacey and John Hegarty.

‘Pale Monkey Blues’ was recorded by Decal’s Alan O’Boyle who has also worked with The Redneck Manifesto on ‘ThirtySixStrings’ and ‘Cut Your Heart Off From Your Head’.

The album will be available on the night and from Road Records, Fade Street, Dublin 2.”

Finally got my mitts on High Anxiety, and what an album it is too! Bought it yesterday and I’ve listened to it at least half a dozen times. Fantastico!!!

Have you tried maybe ordering it online at Amazon or HMV?

Unfortunately I don’t have a credit card. I’ll be Ireland soon and pick it up then though, cheers!

However, I still think it’s a bad situation that a band like T? aren’t being stocked properly on mainland Europe. Just having the albums in the shop is a form of advertising in itself. For example, one record shop here recently put Shameless in a more prominent spot in the shop and everytime I go in the pile of cd’s is decreasing. These albums wouldn’t have been sold on the net.

Album Availabilty in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Album Availabilty

Has anyone had difficulty in getting the new album? I live in Barcelona and so far there’s no sign of the album being released. I’ve asked in the record stores and they’ve checked their computers for release dates and it gave no indication of when the album would be released.

It’s a little strange as pretty much everything else by T? is available here.

Re: Metallica in Other Bands & Artists

I’ve been listening to St,Anger for a week now, and I’m afraid to say, it’s boring!!!! Honest, 70 odd miniutes of repetitive loudness. Metallica used to write great tunes, but not on this album, and the drums sound terrible.

I have a feeling I may have annoyed some people, sorry, but I just think the album’s a bit shitty.

Re: I never did say hello… in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Yep, Angel Dust and Dirt are two very fine albums indeed. They get a regular spinning on my stereo. Also Semi-detached is probably the T? album I’ve been listening to most of late. Unfortunately I’ve not heard High Anxiety as I can’t get here in Barcelona. It’s a bit strange as everything else has been available up until now.

I never did say hello… in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Title: I never did say hello…

… so sorry about that.

A little about me. Been a fan of the band pretty much for as long as they’ve been around. Not bragging in a “I was a fan b4 they were signed” type of way, but it is true.

Fave bands include:

The Frames
The Afghan Whigs
Faith No More
Alice in Chains
Rollins Band
Girls V Boys
Pet Lamb
Sonic Youth
Pixies
Wilt
Kerbdog
Foo Fighters
Nirvana
Zwan
Smashing Pumpkins

You get the jist!

Re: Issues surrounding the poll for live songs in Therapy? Live

Must admit, I did find the results of the poll a shade disappointing. I too was hoping for more obscure tracks to prevail, but hey we’ll have another opportunity to rectify that for the winter tour!

Irish and U.K. festivals, make your voice heard!! in Therapy? Live

Title: Irish and U.K. festivals, make your voice heard!!

I’m sure you’ve all seen the great mail sent out by the lads about the new album, really enjoyed it. But on the downside, what a fucking disaster that one of the best live acts i’ve ever seen hasn’t been asked to play not one festival in Ireland or the U.K.. Get on the blowhorn and do something about it!

In Ireland you can make your voice heard here:

In the U.K.:

Address:
Mean Fiddler Music Group plc

couldn’t find a mail address for the meanfiddler, the promoter for the both reading & leeds festivals.

again, for glastonbury, couldn’t find a mail address, but did sign up to the message board, under the name of shortsharpshock, to post on the wish list thread that I’d love to see therapy? playing this year!
