Title: Hof ter Loo

Went to the Megadeth show in Hof ter Loo yesterday, and it totally blew me away. Fantastic. One of the best concerts I have ever seen, and certainly beter than the 3 Metallica shows I have seen

They were really unbelievably good.

Could be, but I am not sure. Last time I saw them (Werchter), they were so occupied with that lame “you are metallica”, “we love you”, “metallica loves you”, etc… that they forgot to actually play any songs

If it makes you feel any better, I lost my “Born in a Crash”- disc. So I only have the case for an EP that isn’t sold anymore… :(

It is meant positive (for Therapy?).

However, the fact that the reviewer says that ALL offspring albums suck ass should havee given you a hint that it could not be meant negative for T?

Even if the original book was called Cooking Soup For Dummies… That wouldn’t change the quality of the story dude…

Kill Bill reminded me of a videogame:
Intro
First enemy
Transportation
Second Enemy

Re: Kill Bill Vol.1 in Chit-Chat

Until I’ve seen part two I’ll try to be subtle about it, but this is, so far, Tarantino’s worst I’ve seen (including all the movies he just wrote the script for). But if your saying you would like to watch a massacre any day, you’re probably also the type of person that thinks Vin Diesel should have played Bill. (No pun intended).

The great thing about Tarantino was, next to the style and cool of course, his original stories (especially Jackie Brown and Pulp Fiction).

I must admit that the opening titles (Bang Bang My Baby Shot Me down) were his coolest and best yet.

Maiden might cancel in Other Bands & Artists

Title: Maiden might cancel

——-MTV news——-

HEMPSTEAD, NEW YORK — Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain will serve 90 days in the Nassau County Jail for second-degree assault and reckless endangerment charges stemming from an incident that occurred before a concert last July.

According to reports, the 51-year-old drummer was trying to pull into the VIP parking lot at the Jones Beach Theatre on July 26 when attendant Mark Robinson asked to see some identification.

After McBrain flashed his ID, Robinson asked to see the credentials again. At this point, McBrain is said to have threatened to drive into the attendant - a threat he allegedly carried out when Robinson failed to move.

Despite a second warning from McBrain, Robinson is said to have stood his ground before being struck again - this time with more force - before falling on to the bonnet of the drummer’s black Jaguar.

The parking attendant suffered bruises on his right hand and legs and was taken to Nassau University Medical Center for examination.

McBrain plead no contest to the charges. He had faced up to a year in prison.

The sentence is scheduled to commence Wednesday, October 1. No news yet on how the jail term will effect the band’s ‘Dance of Death’ tour set to commence October 19 in Europe.
—————————
If this is confirmed by Maidens management they might decide to postpone the European tour instead of finding a replacement. FUCK!!!

If it’s the same as the one in the HA booklet (I thought) it’s a Gibson Les Paul SG Custom.

These guys are worse than Bad Religion. “Brave New World” was okay as a comeback album for Bruce Dickinson, but the new one, “Dance Of Death”, we’ve just heard it before. More than once. “Paschendale” is a little different, but every other song sounds like “Afraid To Shoot Strangers” or “From Here To Eternity” from ten years ago. I guess, that’s just what true metal heads want and expect from Maiden, but a little more creativity wouldn’t have been bad.

I’ll have to disagree with you. DoD sounds like maiden, but definately sounds very different from other albums. There isn’t even a single gallop on the record.

BTW: St Anger is just one 75 minute long song cut in 11 pieces…

And for the record: I don’t really like DoD, while I think StA is a classic…

Seems to me there’s only one solution. Next time ol’ freddy is at a festival, in the middle of the song I’ll have to powerbomb him. I bet that will get some airplay on tv!

Quote (author unknown):

[i]On the London show broadcasted by MTV you could see a teleprompter on stage where all the lyrics were running along in case he doesn’t remember the crap he wrote

Actualy it is very common to have a teleprompter. Lots of bands use them. But it is a good reason to make fun of his intellect anyway ;)

Re: Best song T? have played to open a show in Therapy? Live

Going Nowhere, Werchter Classic last sunday :D

BTW, I was there at Werchter 96 when they opened with PK. Only 12, my T? knowledge was limited to Infernal Love, Troublegum and Born In A Crash (which made me one of the only people in the audience who knew Potatoe Junkie). I really liked it, but never knew (until now) which song it was! Thank you!

We (that is: my rockchick and I) were very close to mr Durst and he kicked ass.

And the 45,000 people jumping up and down liked him too I guess :D

So everyone who saw them yesterday and still think they suck, I can only quote mr Ozzy Osbourne : “You’re all fucking mad” :D

After hearing that fat chihuahua rape “Behind Blue Eyes” by The Who in the most vulgar way EVER displaced on a festival stage, I have but one remark:

Very easy to make comments when Holland gets 7 shows this fall while we get two that don’t actually count (7 sep: sold out because of the stones, besides not even the fall; 20 nov:maiden…)

Seems like your frustration clouded your thinking my friend. Just like most big arena tours (like previous Stones tours and Springsteen earlier this year) the first X of fans get a special bracelet for the area in front of the stage. Since this automatically means a sprint after entering this rules out the old people and the wheel chairs. The people around me were or in their early forties, thirties (like Andy ;) ) or in their twenties (a lot of them, who totally freaked out during the Stones by the way).

RobbyVDH wrote:

Again I’ll have to disagree with you. Since a friend of mine has got back problems we were standing at the back of the restricted area so he could lean against the fence. ALL the screaming came from the first couple of rows of the “normal” audience area. YOUR area my friend :D …

Stones ruled by the way. Keith is the man… (just ask Martin ;) )
