Re: Whats going on? in General Therapy? Topics
But I do think T? have a very loyal core fanbase, which is really important.
They have been unlucky, but it’s certainly not their fault. They’re always praised by the critics, I’ve only seen one really bad review, from a complete fuckwit who thought they were still a 3-piece, but it’s just all about image nowadays. No matter how good an album High Anxiety is, I just can’t see Therapy? pulling in a huge fanbase again, much as I’d like them to. But I do know that I don’t give a fuck that they don’t look trendy like Stinkin Fart, or that Andy’s pushing 40, cause I’ll always be a huge fan, because as far as I’m concerned there’s few better bands out there! :)

Re: Do Therapy? dislike “Semi-Detached”? in General Therapy? Topics
I looove S-D, at the age of 15 when it came out (actually 14 years 11 months) it was exactly what I needed, it seemed to mix the poppy T? with the noisy T? so well, and it deserved more sales than it got. Infernal Love was pretty good, but I would stick my neck out and say that 30 Seconds is worse than anything on S-D, even Tramline (which I love)!
And I’ve got one of those billboard Semi-Detached posters on my bedroom wall, which is very odd to wake up to with a hangover…
Oh, and without S-D we wouldn’t have The Boys Asleep, which is amazing!

Re: Where did HA chart in your country? in General Therapy? Topics
Yeah, but if you look at all the stuff above it, NOFX excepted, it’s all stuff that got into the upper reaches of the chart - like Foo Fighters (no.1) etc. So that’s encouraging that T? could sell nearly as much as all these bands that are playing arenas at the moment etc, isn’t it?

Re: Shameless Album in General Therapy? Topics
Bollocks! Shameless rocks! T? have yet to put out a record rated less that 7/10 on the Beef-o-meter!

Re: Got my tickets - and a warning to anybody about to order theirs! in General Therapy? Topics
As a Manchester Uni student, when I found out I had 2 French exams on the day of, and the day after the gig, I was rather pissed off! (Pardon my French ;) )
But if you’re after drinking all day, go straight to the union - the environs are a bit scabby, but Carling’s £1.20 a pint, so you can’t go wrong there, unless you hate Carling, of course…

Re: Merchandise in General Therapy? Topics
A custom-made ‘Beefgrinder’ top! :D
Actually, my ‘Teethgrinder’ top has lasted me 8 years, but it’s more than a little worn now, I’d rather not look like an aged rocker at the age of 20, so a new run of that design with the cover on would be cool…

Re: Rust - heaviest Therapy? riff yet? in General Therapy? Topics
I’d say it’s kind of a cross between Helmet and ‘I Will Lead You’ by Filter.
And the riff off ‘Stalk And Slash’ rocks! I’ve always liked the one of ‘Sister’ cause it’s so damn cheesy…

Damn and blast!
This means they won’t get into British Hit Singles, y’know… (last single to do so was Lonely, Cryin’, Only)

That’s the trouble with Emap products, always searching for money in the end. I’ve had a beef (no pun intended…) with Kerrang! (Mag & TV) for a while now.

Yeah, I noticed that when it came out - my mate was a big Madonna fan, embarrassingly enough.

Just rearranged the remaining ‘If It Kills Me’ singles to a far more prominent place in the singles rack in my local Virgin (Shrewsbury)! Hehe… :D

Re: Buy! Buy! Buy! in General Therapy? Topics
Well, it’d certainly put a new slant on the song, much like that Nelly Furtado song “I’m like a bird” if you chance it to “I’m Michael Buerk”! (sic) :p

Re: Buy! Buy! Buy! in General Therapy? Topics
Blimey, that was a burst of vitriol last nite.
Sorry, such is my love of T? and my hatred of Avril Lavigne I guess I went just slightly over the top! :)
Buy anyway though…

Buy! Buy! Buy! in General Therapy? Topics
Title: Buy! Buy! Buy!
Listen, not wishing to sound too totalitarian, but we need to buy a shedload of CDs between us (like thousands) to get this in the charts - none of the singles off the last album made the UK Top 75 (unless I’m mistaken, but I did check), so now’s your chance!
If you’ve not already, go buy! By midday on Saturday, or it won’t make the charts. If your record store doesn’t have it, give them shit about it! Let’s give one in the eye to Avril Lavigne! :D
Oh, and if you can afford it, send one on Amazon/HMV.co.uk to at least one friend (I did). Whether they like it or not! :)
OK, rant over. Hope you’re well.
