Re: T? at Reading 2005 in Therapy? Live
All the festivals seem to be doing this. First I heard of it was when I was at T in the Park this summer. Couldn’t believe it. That means come spring next year all the festivals will be sold out before any bands are booked.
Anyway, back to Therapy. There is no reason why they shouldn’t play. Last time they were there…1994 high up on the bill that was headlined by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Soundgarden.
If the Wildhearts could play Reading this year, there is hope for Therapy too. Best place to put them would be the Radio 1 tent.

Re: Therapy? In Belfast. in Therapy? Live
I thnk the capacity of the Mandela Hall is about 1,000. No more than that. The Ulster Hall would hold more.
Seen Therapy? there twice and both gigs rocked. I won’t be able to make it this time as I’ve been invited to a wedding reception in the evening!
I was holding off on going as I heard Ash were playing in Belfast at the same time and was undecided on which gig I wanted to go to. I’m a big fan of both bands. Looks like I won’t be going to either now!!

Re: dj set in auntie annies in Therapy? Live
I’m thinking of going myself. Have to get one of my mates into going as he’s a big Therapy? fan like myself.
Apparently they are looking for somebody to come stage with them to sign Screamager!

Review of the Belfast gig… in Therapy? Live

Re: Belfast Post-Mortem in Therapy? Live
Quote (author unknown):
the printed out setlist was wrong  I was doing stills photography for the dvd and we were told to be in certain positions at certain songs but then the band played them in a different order!
Does that mean that the DVD that will be released will not be the entire gig? I’m assuming you are saying that only certain songs were recorded.

Re: Merchandising in Therapy? Live
I bought the green t-shirt and it seemed to fit me ok for extra large size.
Did anbody at the Belfast gig see one of the guys on stage wearing a t-shirt that said Punk Floyd on it and it had Therapy?’s Archie logo done in the style of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon album cover? It looked like a pretty cool t-shirt.

Re: Belfast Post-Mortem in Therapy? Live
Did anybody buy the Alternative Ulster magazine? I bought a copy and there was a really good interview with Andy Cairns in it.

Re: Belfast Post-Mortem in Therapy? Live
Last nights gig was fantastic. Possibly the best T? gig I’ve seen and I’ve seen them 9 times now since 1992. Andy and the lads were really up for it and gave a performance of their lives. The new songs were great live and Neil is a great drummer too.
The Mandela Hall is a great venue. I’ve seen T? twice there now. The last time was in 2001 but this gig was just amazing. The atmosphere was fantastic and everybody seemed to be having a good time.
Plenty of crowd surfing on the night too! Was tempted to go up but chickened out! :p
They played all the songs I wanted to hear, especially Teethgrinder and Knives! Both fantastic. Good version of Diane too was played and Potato Junkie was brilliant. My only gripe was that they didn’t play Isolation :( but apart from that it was a brilliant gig and I hope they will come back and do another show.
What did anbody think of the support acts? Yakuza were alright but the sound didn’t really sound good when they were on. Somedaysbetter were very good but were only on for a short set.

Re: anyone going to the Belfast gig? in Therapy? Live
I’m going to the gig too but I still haven’t got my copy of H.A. yet!!!
I ordered it off the net and it’s still yet to arrive. Should have bought it in the shop instead!!!

Re: Belfast Setlist in Therapy? Live
I hope they play some older material for the Belfast gig.
Would like to hear Teethgrinder, Opal Mantra, Knives to name but a few but some older stuff like Meat Abstract, Dancin’ With Manson and Potato Junkie would be great too.

Re: Still no sign of Belfast tickets… in Therapy? Live
Does anybody know how long the support bands are going to be playing for and how long T?’s set will be?

Re: Still no sign of Belfast tickets… in Therapy? Live
I’ve just got my tickets for the gig too. According to Radio Ulster’s Across The Line webpage, Stuart Bailie will be doing a big write up on T? for the Alternative Ulster magazine which will be being sold at the gig.
Really looking forward to it now. Somedays Better are really good and I have no idea of what Yakuza sound like but I’m sure it will be a good show.

Anybody see T? at Tattoo the Planet? in Therapy? Live
Title: Anybody see T? at Tattoo the Planet?
This is probably a bit out of date but I was clearing out old issues of NME today and I came across a review of that Tattoo the Planet gig at Wembley Arena. This came from NME on 27/10/01 and this is what they said about T?
‘Diehard metallers might view Therapy? as today’s weakest link. But their greatest hits still raise a devil-horn salute, particularly when ‘Knives’ condenses everything Slipknot have to say into a two-minute singalong. Don’t forget, this was the band who covered Joy Division at Donnington and survived.’

Re: Manchester- an official gig review! in Therapy? Live
Just read the review of the gig. That was excellent!! Did anybody read the review for the album on the same page? They gave it 8/10.

Cheers Dermott :)
Does that mean that the Students Union is the only place selling tickets?

Title: Still no sign of Belfast tickets…
Seems that everybody but Queens and Ticketmaster at Virgin cannot seem to confirm that T? are playing at the Mandela Hall.
Across The Line’s webpage on Radio Ulster has confirmed the gig for the Alternative Ulster magazine launch but there doesn’t seem to be any tickets available as yet. The Dublin gig is on sale at the moment.
Does anybody or even the band members know what is going on? Belfast is really bad for announcing when bands are playing.
I called into Virgin Megastore today to see if tickets were available and they said that they would probably know over the next couple of days as Queens haven’t told them anything about tickets.

Re: Irish and U.K. festivals, make your voice heard!! in Therapy? Live
I wonder why they couldn’t get on the Metallica bill. T? were brilliant at Ozzfest last year. Maybe the organisers didn’t think the kiddies that would be there to see Linkin Park wouldn’t know what to make of T?

Re: Fanfukingtastic! in Therapy? Live
I was at the Therapy?/Ash/Joyrider gig at the Ulster Hall too. That was a brilliant gig. All the bands were brilliant. Have fond memories of that night. Will never forget Ash onstage with their big cardboard cutout of Princess Leia from Star Wars onstage when they were doing Girl From Mars and then chucking it into the crowd, which got torn to pieces! :p
Hope T? play a lot of old stuff and I’d love to hear Knives again live. It rocks big time when they play it live.
Any other old school T? fans out there?

Re: Still no sign of Belfast tickets… in Therapy? Live
T? are definitely playing Mandela Hall on the 6th of June as my friend was able to tell me. Her mate is in a local band called somedays better and they are supposed to be supporting T? that night. It’s some benefit for Alternative Ulster, so I suppose the full details are not fully available yet. I’m going to get my ticket as soon as I find out!

Title: T? Irish dates
The lads will be in Belfast the following night at the Mandela Hall. Still waiting to find out when the tickets go on sale, so I will be definitely going to that one!

Title: Any sign of a homecoming gig?
Wish the lads would hurry up and play Belfast again sometime. I guess they will never play the Ulster Hall again. Fond memories of seeing them play there. Last time I saw them play Belfast was at the Mandela Hall in Queens. They rocked that night.
They were brilliant at Ozzfest last year, so maybe they should do Witnness this year.
The new single is brilliant and a real return to form. Looking forward to the new album and hopefully some gigs too!
