Title: avril, the britney of canadian rock

at least i see that the rest of the world sees the phoney that is avril lavign(or however you spell it) since the mainstream in North America has shifted back to rock(or so they would call it) Avril is the new Britney. same crappy songs, same crappy fashion statements. Yet even in a country as intellectually advanced as the great white north, i still meet sad souls who try to argue with me that avril is better than mrs. spears, they say, “at least she has guitars in her music”, I say its the same crappy pop shite but instead of untalented house beats, its untalented three chord pop punk, with a hamster singing about skater punks. I as a Canadian wish that the canadian public would start to recognze the actual talented music we have to offer, like the weakerthans, propaghandi, and .moneen. instead of these little kids who fly to LA with a demo tape and get a record contract, without ever playing a live show, here in North Amnerica the Military sponsered - major record labels have the general public by the balls, it is a sad state of affairs, sorry guys i had to vent

Title: to answer your question…

Unfortunatly i did not get to see Therapy? on their 96 tour, it was a licenced gig in Calgary and i was under age at the time, but i have the gig poster, which hardly makes up for the unbearable disapointment. To answer question 2 i would say that all steve is good but shellac amazes me other bands i love include: Mogwai, Tool, Slint,
The jealous sound, and anything by sir mike patton

later T?’s

How goes? fellow T?’s in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Title: How goes? fellow T?’s

I’m very happy to see that there are so many loyal fans of Therapy? around the world, here in Canada they are virtually unknown. I have only met one other person who even knows who they are, They have been one of my favorite bands for about ten years now, and they get better every album. Shameless and High anxiety are not yet available in Canada but hopefully one day they will find a distributor. I long for the day that Andy and the boys will come back to Canada. (don’t worry you won’t have to play with the Doughboys again, they are morons and were shunned by the canadian public shortly after the tour). anyway keep up the amazing work and keep rockin’!
