Re: ARRGH! Bloody Amazon! in General Therapy? Topics

I always use Play. I got ‘High Anxiety’ and N.A.N.E from there and both of them came on the Saturday as the album was released the following Monday. Plus as others have noted free delivery :D

Therapy? in Kerrap in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Therapy? in Kerrap

I haven’t bought Kerrap magazine for a while but on the studio diary it says that there may be a feature on Therapy? in the January 25th issue. Was it in this issue? If so was it any good? If not does anyone know when T? might be covered in the future?

So many questions, so few answers!

I wonder who will headline the next ones?

There’s no way I’d like to be below Shutty either:D

Re: Should Therapy? play Scarborough.. The poll! in Therapy? Live

Just voted for T? to play.

If they do it will be a day to remember. 2 of the best bands in the world playing the same bill, with THE best live band in the world, the mighty T?

Let’s pray to the gods of rock n roll for this to happen

Re: Therapy? in Scarborough Sept ‘05 in Therapy? Live

I second that!

Come on T? make a sad oldish blokes dream of a mid-90s British rock super gig a reality :D

Re: Therapy? in Scarborough Sept ‘05 in Therapy? Live

just found this web address on the net.

http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode= … emID=39064

It says T? are rumoured to be playing along with the BackYard Babies.

Sounds like it should be a great day. I’m definately going.

Re: Best Therapy song in General Therapy? Topics

Only thing with T? is they have too many truely great tracks to pick a definate favourite. These two are just the ones I like listening the most at the moment

Either Big Cave In or Polar Bear.

The thing is there is no real atmosphere there in the crowd

I actually went [won tickets for the wife, she likes U2,Coldplay etc] and there was absolutely no atmosphere.

I couldn’t understand it, having been to rock and metal gigs where the atmosphere is electric. I thought with it being such a huge event there would be an atmosphere but there was nothing.

But then again big gigs suck. Give me a little, sweat saoked club with the mighty T? any day.

The Who were great though, as were Pink Floyd, Velvet REvolver and REM. The rest were crap.

Re: Vote T? In the Kerrang awards in General Therapy? Topics

just voted for T? in all except newcomer catergory.

Do you think Kerrap will start having more T? articles and features if they win?

It might be like the old days when Andy couldn’t fart without some Kerrap journalist enthusing about it!

Re: Should Terrorvision reform? in Other Bands & Artists

Yes Terrorvision are back together and touring. Got my ticket for Leeds. Now all we need to do is get T?, The Wildhearts, Kerbdog, 3 colours red and Terrorvision to put on their own festival next summer.

Hmmm wonder if the Almighty would consider opening?!

Re: Who’s Got Their Tickets? in Therapy? Live

Oxford and Reading. Can’t wait, should be superb:D

Re: help needed in Therapy? Live

The Leadmill is a great live venue and T? always seem to put on a superb show there. However, Sheffield is a good town to go out drinking and to night clubs but there isn’t much to do in the day time [that isn’t drink related] except shopping or a visit to the botanical gardens or museum of modern art. You can use Sheffield as a base to go visit the Peak District and other local areas, but you would need to plan where you are going.

Great party town but bugger all to do in the day I’m afraid.

Glasgow or the Netherlands would probably be better.

would do but they are midweek and I’m a teacher so can’t have time off work.

But the sickie does sound like a good idea ;)

I don’t believe it in Therapy? Live

Title: I don’t believe it

I can’t go to the Astoria gig, due to work commitments.

Does anyone know when a full tour schedule will be announced?

Re: Camberley Live - 2nd October in Therapy? Live

It was great to see T? in such an intimate venue as a record shop.

It was right what Andy said about more bands needing to do stuff like that.

The guys played really well and I was pleased that ‘Polar Bear’ lived up to my expectations live.

Thanks to T?, their crew and all at the Rock Box, for a special gig that will live long in the memory and because i was stood right infront of the bass speaker make my ears buzz long into this week

Re: One problem in General Therapy? Topics

Some people are never satisfied!

At least T? are still getting great records out there. Most of the best albums fit on one side of C-90 tape anyway.

Its quality not quantity we want, just look at ‘Load’ by Metallica. The longest album ever released on a single disc at that time and it only had 3 good songs on it!

Re: Latest diary entry in General Therapy? Topics

Are you not more worried by the fact that Andy seems to be insinuating that if NANE doesn’t do as well as HA then it may be curtains for the mighty T?? :(

Re: Andy’s last diary entry in General Therapy? Topics

Could it be the early nineties when T? went to the NME awards as Andy said “one foppish singer was the frontman of the best new band in britain” and I think that may refer to Brett Anderson from Suede who were a much touted NME band in the early nineties. The lady brit poppper could therefore be Justine from Elastica. Plus rumour [and in Brett’s case fact] have proven they are both partial to a few drugs.

Re: support? in Therapy? Live

I hope the support is either Minus, cos they are great, or Rico again.

Re: NANE in listening posts in General Therapy? Topics

I really want to go to the listening post in Abingdon but I’m unsure as to whether I should. I really want to hear the new songs but think I should wait for the album to come out. If I only get one listen I’ll want another to really absorb the music and lyrics and I can’t stay in the record shop all week!!!!

Plus I think it will spoil getting the album, that rush of excitment you get when you first listen to a T? album and then that continued buzz from playing it all over again just seconds after its done.

Now a single would be ideal. A little taste, a starter without ruining the main meal!!!!

Tour in Therapy? Live

Title: Tour

In Kerrang this week it talks about a tour around the release of N.A.N.E. Does anyone have any clues of what date this will start or even any of the venues etc? Only I have got tickets to see the Hives on 25th September and Pitchshifter of 8th October and i don’t want T? to be playing near me on those dates, cos i really need to see T? soon, its been almost 4 months, I’m having withdrawls:(

Pitchshifter in Other Bands & Artists

Title: Pitchshifter

Is any one else excited about the fact that Pitchshifter have temporarily reformed for a short tour?

I think Pitchshifter are an excellent band and much like T? have always challanged both themselves and their fans. Live they are a real head rush and along with T? and Terrorvision one of the few bands I am willing to suffer broken bones and bruises for by getting right at the front and pogoing til I’m sick.

I can’t wait to see them in October at the Astoria and bounce around to WYSIWYG, Genius, Microwaved, Please Sir,8 Days and Un-united Kingdom. :D

Only hope the mighty T? don’t tour at the same time and I miss one of their gigs.

Re: how long have you known about T? in General Therapy? Topics

Been into the mighty T? for 10 years now. Saw the cover of Troublegum, thought it looked cool and bought it. T? have been one of my favourite bands since and still remain the only band I have ever bought an album by due to the cover. Must have been fate ;)

Melvins in Other Bands & Artists

Title: Melvins

I want to check out the Melvins but don’t know anyone who has any of their records or even like their stuff. Could anyone recommend a good starting point for the Melvins?

Re: Oxford in Therapy? Live

Title: Oxford (merged)

T? were absolutely amazing last night in Oxford. They were tight, loud and played a great set. Loads of Troublegum and pre-Troublegum tunes. It felt just like 1994 again watching the guys play those songs as a trio.

If they play as well as that all the time then they will be rocking for another 14 years
