Re: T? in Greece!? in Therapy? Live
I might as well translate what i wrote up there.
First of all, the photos are from a source independent to the site.
Now, this lady doing the review on the site, says she didn’t like the gig that much, and she expected more from the band.
Then, she goes on saying that the audience wasn’t making enough noise on the new songs, only on songs from Troublegum and Infernal Love, which is completely untrue!!!
Moreover, she says that this was the worst performance of Stories she’d ever heard, and that Screamager was weak, too, EVEN THOUGH SHE EARLIER WROTE SHE USED TO LISTEN TO THERAPY? MUSIC IN HER TEENS.
So, I’m guessing this person must have seen hundreds of performances of Stories in her teens, or heard 5-6 dozens of bootlegs to have an oppinion, right?!!
Right, Everybody’s a fuckin’ critic these days.
This whole site is a complete disgrace! As a U2 fan I’ve dealt with them in the past. They have adopted this shitty philosophy that, the more you disapprove of something that is actually GREAT, the more attention you will attract, and the more distinguished you will get.
The Greek Audience Absolutely LOVED Therapy?
and can’t wait for the next time they come back!
I know, cause I was there, and everyone had a hell of a time!

No, the gig was not sold out but as trigger said there were a lot more people than expected.
After 10 years of being a Therapy? fan, this was the ultimate gift for me, i ‘ve never seen them live before, the last time they were here was 11 years ago…
Isolation/She’s Lost Control was played, Diane was played by just Andy, and hoochalobster, they played Sister :D
i’m not saying anymore… :P
The new album sounds great live!!!
My neck hurts!!! THANK YOU THERAPY? :)

T? audio/video on BitTorrent in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Title: T? audio/video on BitTorrent
I’m posting this again in case you missed it!
Quote (author unknown):
hello friends!
things have changed, sadly my ftp server is no longer working…
Anyway, i have found a T? live video from RockPalast 1993.
therefore, i would like to introduce you to BitTorrent. it’s a program much like the P2P programs (Kazaa, eMUle, etc) only many times faster and better.
All you need is the faq on how to use BitTorrent which is here: http://btfaq.com/serve/cache/1.html
and a bittorrent client. I recommend ABC or Azureus (azureus is the best IMO but you have to download and install Sun Java in order for it to run)
Azureus (and links to Sun Java) can be found here:
http://azureus.sourceforge.net/
now, once you’ve got those straight…
you need a source where to get your therapy torrents (links).
http://www.suprnova.org/ has many torrents and some therapy ones amongst them (try the search function)
http://www.easytree.org/ has only music torrents (you have to register to use this site, it’s free)
the Rockpalast 93 video i promised you is in :
http://66.90.75.92/suprnova//torren…May1993.torrent
just copy/paste the link in your browser and Open the torrent file. Azureus (or whatever you chose) will open and start downloading. When your files are done, try to keep your Bittorrent clients open as long as you can, because even if you are not downloading anymore, what you have downloaded is being uploaded to other people. See, it’s even better than the FTP server…
if you have any questions just ask.
I haven’t heard the new T? album yet as i’ve been really busy with U2’s new album and promo tour, but i am pretty sure it will rock as hard as the previous one, i remember hearing some streaming audio sometime back before it was released and i liked it a lot!!
Have Fun,
Neat

Re: How to dismantle an atomic bomb in Other Bands & Artists
it instantly grew on me after the second listen…
there are just a couple of songs i like a bit less than the rest, like One Step Closer and Yahweh.
Love And Peace Or Else really stands out, it is quite experimental for U2.
i believe steve lillywhite did a nice job as always, but Brian Eno should have been kept away from the consoles, i hate how he turns raw rock songs into light-rock!
i have some of the demos U2 were working on with Chris Tomas, at the time they were saying this album is going to be pure rock n roll, and they are!!! as bono said, punk rock made in venus!
i hope they get released real soon!
the collector’s edition doesn’t have the lyrics inside, that’s true, but i believe that’s going to be a problem only to people without internet connection.

oh i know… Like A Song must be the most rebel song ever..!! not many people know about it, though
have you watched the Sunday Bloody Sunday version off the Rattle And Hum dvd? it’s even better than the blood red sky one..!

Re: U2 on TOTP in Other Bands & Artists
yes, i meant the sound.
although i must say (as a freak i must defend..!) they didn’t get paid for the iPod thing, they made an agreement with apple to do the commercial and in return itunes will have all the soundboard recordings from the new tour in really low prices for the fans… not that this makes their move less commercial… but…well whatever! :p

Oh, it is a lot better than All That You Can’t Leave Behind. I believe that after a few years it will be up there with their classics, like Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. I love this band for being 25 years old and still doing real music and not getting commercialized or relaxed like some people accuse them of!

Anyone heard the new U2 album?I’m not a big fan of U2 i’ve just liked some of their singles over the years but the new album is ok.It’s a lot better than REM and Manic Street Preachers new albums.
i have, obviously… :)
well i don’t know what non U2fans might make of the new album, but i, as a U2freak can easily place it amongst my top5 U2 albums. Producers are lame as always, giving a Rock n Roll Band that light-rock sound, but i ‘ve heard the songs performed live and they are true rocking masterpieces IMO..

Re: U2 on TOTP in Other Bands & Artists
this stupid show should be cancelled IMO.
with the fame totp has won over the years, they could sure afford to have their guests performing live.
bands should stop appearing in that show. U2 have been again on totp in the 80s, but then it was prerecorded, not background music. since then they haven’t ever been into their studios again. they did totp again on 2000, but performed on the roof of their hotel, (ofcourse totp aired it with background music again…!)
i hate totp
Posted on Tue, 23 November 2004 at 16:59
Re: U2 on TOTP in Other Bands & Artists
U2 didn’t perform on TOTP studios, they performed outside the studios in the BBC Carpark, whoever was there, said U2 played live and there was one take of Vertigo with background music on, which was totp’s fault.
i don’t hear anybody complain about the SNL performance though, where they played 5 songs, where every band just plays 2 songs, 3 at some exceptions… and Bono shouting out “Live, Live, Live!!!!” at the previous performers’ faces, where some were caught lipsynching!
Posted on Tue, 23 November 2004 at 14:29
Re: U2 on TOTP in Other Bands & Artists
U2 didn’t mime,
They played over a background track, but just the background track and Bono’s voice were broadcasted on totp show, it’s the stupid show’s policy to use background tracks, the only bad from U2’s side was to accept to be aired from that fuckin’ show.
