it is mpeg2, but dvd format!

just open the program you use to watch dvds on your pc (ie PowerDVD) kai open it!! or just double click the first file you see with an .ifo extension… ;)

I haven’t heard the new T? album yet as i’ve been really busy with U2’s new album and promo tour, but i am pretty sure it will rock as hard as the previous one, i remember hearing some streaming audio sometime back before it was released and i liked it a lot!!

Just give me a break, i am on a single adsl 384 line, that is downloading 24/7 and used for my work, this period it cannot handle the ftp server as well, i keep the server up at nights usually, when i have more bandwith, and less work to do, it will be back up as before,

new material from the band, i think it was clear by now, that the server wasn’t for me to collect stuff, it has been working for over a year now, and the last upload must have been like 6 months ago… right?

there’s nothing wrong with the server, except the fact that it is not always up. i ‘ll try to keep it up as much as i can, but it will be fully working when new material is out for us…

it’s ok now guyz, a lot of useless stuff inside but it will be cleared out soon.

What ftp client are you using? Flashfxp has the option to resume, i can’t understand why it won’t work for you, it works with everybody else…

I’ll put the old ones in another folder and you just upload the ones we’re missing, ok?

P.S. there is a folder inside the Uploads called lowlands, is it yours? if it is you know you can just resume (if it’s not yours on the other hand, you should upload it from scratch… or the files might get messed up..)

the server is working fine, in fact as i am writting this i have a couple of users downloading stuff.
if you still have a problem please post what kind of an error it gives you so i can look into it…

I don’t have the MVD single either… since there was no gig over here yet, i just wish they come early next year, as andy promised…

well i already thought of that, d4amick, but, as i see it, most people connecting to the server usually have dial up connections, which means that they can’t work on dc++ cause a) their speeds will be really slow, and b) they won’t be able to be connected 24/7 for the hub…

ok, sorry to bother, but why trade and pay for postage fees and stuff, whilst you can upload and download whatever you want freely from my ftp server?
just a thought there…

How To Connect:

First you need an FTP Client software, I suggest using FlashFXP, but others are welcome, too (CuteFTP, WS_FTP, etc) as long as you DO NOT use internet explorer to access the server, your speeds will be slow and you will not be able to resume your downloads/uploads that way..

The Settings for my server are:

IP/Server Address: u2neat.ath.cx
port: 21
User Name: therapy
Password: limbo

Passive Mode: ON (this is usually under the program’s options, for example, at FlashFXP you can find it under Options->Preferences->Proxy/Firewall/Ident

After you have connected, the whole proccess of downloading/uploading is like working with windows explorer, you copy files from your disks to my server when you upload, and you copy files from my server to your hard disk when you download. NOTE: You can only upload files inside the #Uploads# folder.

well, currently our adsl isps here in greece only offer 128kbps for upload (~18kb/s), unless i sign up for sdsl which is quite more expensive (around 130euros), but i don’t think it’s nice for you to pay for your downloads…
but i guess everybody’s happy so far with these speeds, if you are on a fast connection, you can leave it downloading all night…

as for the schedule you mentioned, there can’t be one, because the server is on my home pc, which is 24/7 on, but when i download other stuff speeds will lower, and ofcourse when i install software i have to restart and then the server will be off, but there’s no need to worry because my server supports resuming ;)

Hi, define what you mean the server has a slow upload…
You try to upload and it’s slow or you try to download something and the server’s upload gets slow?

Anyway, ~18kb/s is the maximum speed you can download at, because this is my ISPs maximum upload speed, and i am located in greece. on the other hand, when YOU upload, then your speed depends on the upload limits your connection has. I hope i haven’t confused you… :)

btw: 60-70 k???? wow, what kind of connection are you on? 1mbit??

Listen, i have been getting a lot of emails of people unfamiliar with ftp servers asking for help, which means that this topic has gone rather confusing with all those different posts, so i suggest we keep this topic only for reporting our errors and problems about the server (maybe one of the moderators can rename the topic to FTP Server (TroubleShooting) or something like that), and i ‘ll make another topic with all the information one needs to connect to the server PLUS we can all make announcements about what new we have put on the server, so that anyone can see it and download it…

nope, nothing wrong, you just tried to connect in a bad time, when you get that message, just try later, it means i am installing something, restarting the computer or my connection is down, fortunately from tomorrow we will get less of these…
