We’re about to make album number sixteen. After

We’re about to make album number sixteen. After our last gig in November 2019 we were expecting to have a few months rehearsals to write the album and then a full year of touring celebrating 30 years with a best of album recorded at Abbey Road followed by recording a new one and touring that. As we all know, life had other plans for everyone on the planet. It was difficult for us as a band at times. We don’t all live on the same island so rehearsals were very problematic. As a gigging band we still had to pay for gear storage, insurance etc and then, when things eased, new equipment, flights, trains, fuel, rehearsal space, crew etc any time we got together to write or practice. During this time we had three gigs.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who bought the Best of album, concert tickets for the forthcoming shows, online music and t-shirts, the forthcoming Stabal online event, the Simon Young penned So Much For the 30 Year Plan biography and everyone who communicated with and helped us to to stay positive. Without your support we don’t know what we would have done, so thank you so very, very much. Our thoughts are also very much with all of you who have been marked by this dreadful virus and those key workers that helped keep us safe. Album number sixteen is on its way. It will be produced by Chris Sheldon (Troublegum, Cleave) and released next year. The So Much for the 30 Year Plan tour will still be a career-spanning set but it will feature a few new tunes too. The full new album tour will follow. Thanks again, looking forward to meeting up with you all again.
